oo so its very much in the planning stage but it'll be high fantasy. Im not really sure if it'll be NA or YA (I'll have to read more NA fantasy to grasp the difference) but somewhere there!
And vibes.. erm Kingdoms, Coups, swords, LGBTQ+ pirates, ancient magic, unlikely friendships, morally grey characters and one dishevelled prince XD

And from my reading experience, the thing that makes NA stand it is that it usually has either explicit romance, or some very deep world themes, like government, dealing with oppression, etc. And it also would have more in depth looks at depression, addiction, etc.
It sounds amazing so far!

ok, wait!! this is so cool! I'd really like to know more about the world and the characters(when you get farther into your project ofc)

Here's the thing, I suck at names haha. I'm just referring to everyone as 'mc' and a number right now. it's pretty sad XD

I always look for names on Pinterest or Google. Like, if I need a badass name, i type badass girl names and do actually find really good ones.

Well for my names I like picking ones that a) reflect their ethnic background and also b) are related to the story of that makes sense? Like if I write a story about the black market (which I am haha) I’ll search up names that are related to it in history, have meanings related to it, etc.

I haven't updated on here for a while, so I'll do so now.
Sadly I haven't been writing much (or literally anything) lately because of the hell that is school but I'm going to try putting myself on a schedule of some sort? If anyone who sees this has done that before, let me know if that works or not! Anyways, yeah that's how my writing is going right now xD

Just seen the comment about it being NA or YA. As a general rule of thumb, books with characters aged 18 - 25 comes into NA, as they are more likely to have more romance (and accompanying passion) as well as drinking and clubbing etc. Books with younger characters but darker themes also sometimes come under NA
