What Fairy Tale Are You? Quiz

BTW, what fairy tale would one be if for most of the questions one would choose "none of the above?"
Well, it's not science. I tried to have some less predictable questions mixed in with the predictable ones.
I got Cinderella! 🤣
I wasn't sure about some of the questions. Pre-mom me would have been dancing New Year eve, but I know after becoming a mom I often just went to bed!
For colors my favourites are purple and burgundy, so I choose red.
For families I couldn't relate to any really but selected Narnia siblings randomly. Actually now that I think about it, I don't really like the Narnia siblings so I might retake the test.

I got Snow White too. I was reading on New Year's Eve, so, no connection I guess. I did point Apple pie as favourite food though... *mumble*
Anyway, I like her since she's the only black-haired princess who looks vaguely similar to me :)
I've taken the quiz 3 times to test it, and I got Jack and the Beanstalk twice, and Snow White once. If you have a tie, the quiz randomly picks one. Seems odd to be Jack and the Beanstalk AND Snow White, but I wouldn't discount the combo either.
Some of y'all may have had a tie too! It's difficult to know, because the quiz program Book Riot uses won't let you take the test again (unless you open an incognito window).

I'm finding no one likes it when they get Cinderella. I like Cinderella, particularly the original fairytale variations! Despite frequent abuse, Cinderella is kind, always takes time to talk to her dead mom's tree, and sneaks out of the house to go to a dance party. Sure, a prince meets her and marries her, but I'm pretty sure she would've figured something else out if it hadn't gone down that way. ;)

I think we can be various fairytales at different times in our lives. :) Though I'm pretty sure I've read my way through every NYE for a couple of decades now.

Speaking of Cinderella, there is an intriguing Polish variant that I think you'd like. In this version, she rejects a marriage offer from her LI after suffering much abuse from him. She was also aware he only fell in love with her pretty face and clothes. You know, he didn't realize at all that his servant, whom he mistreated, and a beautiful lady from the Balls are one and the same. Appropriately she refuses him for all these 3 reasons. Or only for his abuse? I don't remember.
Her rejection sets him on a redemption quest. Inevitably she will marry him but only after he becomes a better man.

Oh, why I don't know this? :D Where is this coming from or what is the title?
I got Hansel and Gretel, but I wouldn't mind being Cinderella ;)

Me too until I discovered the magic of old fairy tales collection. I'm trying to trace down this tale right now - I have no idea where I read it, and my reading list isn't helpful. Lesson learned, write down all fairy tales you like for future reference.
I'll let you know if I find it again.
Edit: I've got it. I've got it!
The fairy tale is called "Popieluszka". Turns out it's probably a literary version from "Za górami, za lasami " by Janina Porazińska and is a bit different than I remember because LI went questing on his own without any prompting from Cinderella and connecting the dots. Ergo, my brain conjured more feminist version.
You may read it here (in Polish):

That's an amazing story! I wonder if Cinderella Tales from Around the World has that one or variations of it from other cultures? I've read a couple from Heiner's series, but not that one.

I don't know :)
Basically, after the third Ball, the lad felt he didn't deserve a wife at all, did nothing good in his life. So he went to a neighboring town and killed a dragon.
Unknowingly I mixed it with another Polish variant, "Barani Kożuszek" (Sheepskin coat) in which Cinderella calls out the Prince on his mistreatment of her. She was ready to leave and agreed to marry him only after ashamed he profoundly apologized for his behavior

Conclusion: Never trust memories when it comes to fairy tales.

Fairytales are just that sneaky!

Thank you so much for finding these and providing links, Asaria! <3

Not a problem :)

I don't mind getting Cinderella! I was just wondering because the more I thought about it, the Narnia siblings are not my favourite siblings, actually none of the families in the quiz are, but this time I picked the Adams family and I still got Cinderella. Like I said, I really don't mind!
I posted this on my FB timeline, you might want to check it out!
One person asked about Hansel and Gretel being two people. I replied that I think the quiz points to which tale is more like you and not which characters you are like. Is this correct. The person who got Hansel and Gretel asked if it could be that one person is the shadowself

All excellent points. And, like I mentioned above, the explanation at the end and further thinking about my answers, made sense to me. I mean I was reading at midnight; would be described as hard working and goal oriented; talk to all animals, not just my pets; blue is my favorite color; and think shoes are utilitarian first. LOL Also, it should be noted, my initial response was that Cinderella isn't my favorite tale type, but I wasn't mad at getting Cinderella as the quiz type - just found it funny since it's not the tale type I lean toward in my reading. Though, after reading your points and Asaria's comments and links, I can see Cinderella's appeal. Kindness is, after all, an underrated characteristic. :-)
:)
I like to read about daring, complicated heroines who aren't always "good and kind" and make mistakes. Meanwhile, I always try to be kind and I don't like making mistakes, lol. Though I make them all the time.
Jalilah, it is "what fairy tale" and not "what fairy tale character." I was actually given this task as an assignment, so I didn't pick the theme, though clearly it is 100% up my alley. Maybe I should do a "what fairy tale character are you" quiz at some point. I commented to the person on your facebook. :)

Ha - I got Snow White too and I wasn't sleeping or eating - do you talk to animals?

That's an annoying aspect of the quiz. I'm not a fan of the quiz app Book Riot uses. If you open up the page again, it should show you the results and the description.

I did a fun, quick fairytale quiz for Book Riot. What fairy tale are you?
Here's the link. I'd love to know everyone's answers and how accurate I am! https://bookriot.com/fairy-tale-quiz/
