Type Me!

2. I'd sneak through the building to see if I can help my boss
3. I go to books for an escape. Writing is an outlet, so when something bad happens in my novels, I'm in vain.
4. ...
5. People make their own decisions, no one is forcing them into anything.
6. All animals are equal, minus the snakes and spiders that have caused me so much trouble

I feel like you're a Gryffinclaw.

1. Typically I look for well developed characters and an interesting plot
2. Leave my boss of course, and then my first priority would probably be finding somewhere to hide. If the murderer found me, I'd try to prove my worth and join them
3. Normally I ignore stress and don't tell others
4. I don't know. I don't think there is a reason. I kinda sorta believe in reincarnation, but mainly just because it's a cool concept
5. Yes, there's two sides, both could be seen as good or bad depending on who you are and that's something that I will actually debate about
6. False

2) honestly i would probably panic and activate fight or flight and be inclined to maybe use the stairs or climb out the window if necessary, however, in those situations i end up usually feeling shame or guilt for seeking my own relief first and then i feel driven my that guilt to save someone else, and then i would probably scan the stairs for locations to hide and go quickly down the stairs and peek to see where my boss is, and if i get the feeling it's safe, i would probably find her and take her out of the building through a window since it's a safer option than leaving normally.
3) I look for emotional help typically, but in a sense i look for both since i want to hear feedback on what is making me feel such a way and if i'm reacting adequately or if i've done something where i feel like it's irreparable (eg, fight with a friend, or made my friend feel bad) i would describe how i tried to make it up and ask if what i did was adequate while also asking something like "am i worthy of her as a friend?" or "am i still a good person, can you forgive me for being this way?"
4) this will take a long time to unpack. i can't settle down on just one answer here. at the moment: life is so complex, down to every atom being placed exactly in a specific way to visualize the world as we know it. there are so many natural systems, eg, the arrangement of empty space, the concept of atoms and subatomic particles, concepts such as metabolism, food chains, and ecosystems which function in a specific way- not to mention the waves of emotions and the natural tendencies to have certain things prompt certain emotions inside a person. emotions are so dramatic and fluid that they can't be put into words. it's so abstract and undulating that the concept that all of the things we feel, the ways we talk to people, our goals to accomplish, is terrifying to me. i genuinely crave meaning and i wanna chase as many abstract concepts and feelings as i can to get as much fulfillment internally as life can allow. material things do not matter to me in the wake of searching for the very depths that human emotion can go and to feel everything that i can.
5) personally, what i believe is evil is anything which causes great and irreparable pain inside a person or leaves a hole which cannot be fulfilled. again, if humans have emotions to such a degree, there has to be a purpose to them, right?? if something is horribly damaging to someone, such as a murder, for example, as it leaves intense grief in another person, and this grief and negative feeling is a sign that something is wrong. so yes, there is good and evil on that level, but for trivial things, like cheating on a test, for example, that can be backed up by different viewpoints, so in that sense the line between good and evil is blurred and rather enforced by societal teachings,
6) conceptually and ethically? no. no one person - or animal lmao - is attributed to an innate privilege unless they openly worked towards it- even so, they should not be treated much better than their less experienced counterparts. in the real world? unfortunately, yes. equality is preached but never practiced and injustices are covered up by a mask of progressiveness and "liberty." the same problems exist now as they did centuries away, they're just painted with sparkles and halos now.
again, anything which causes negative feelings causes that for a reason and should be avoided, and this includes discrimination. connecting back to the last question, there is no reason to discriminate and it is not an innate thing to have prejudice- it's a social and societal construct which is forced onto people based on others' viewpoints.

Gryffindor??? Or Gryffinpuff. I think. Leaning towards Gryffinpuff.
Gryffindor??? Or Gryffinpuff. I think. Leaning towards Gryffinpuff.
My turn!
1. The plot is of secondary importance to me. The characters always come first. Grey morality is a must, and if it's accompanied by a redemption arc, that's even better. I tend to like the more evil protagonists more. The more cunning and smart, the better. I want to be surprised. Also, I need beautiful writing, but not too poetic or pretentious, otherwise I'll drop the book. Finally, the book needs to raise good questions.
2. Of course I wouldn't go back for my boss. I'm not about to put myself in the path of a freaking mass murderer. Honestly, I would panic and jump off the skyscraper to kill myself. Either that or I would hide in a secure area with a weapon and kill the guy if he found me.
3. I look for emotional support because I need someone to be there for me. But sometimes I do want practical support, because the "I'm sorry"s get old.
4. I find myself leaning towards nihilism at some times, but at the end of the day, I believe in existentialism. Humankind's legacy should be the advancement of technology and knowledge, because who will care how nice we are to each other once we're all extinct? I don't follow that logic. I'm only nice to people because 1) I'm not brave enough to be mean, 2) The people I like are super sweet and kind and caring and I love them and I would never hurt them, and 3) I'm Catholic and I want to go to heaven.
5. I think there's good and bad. For example, rape is bad. Murder is bad.
6. True. I believe that humans are better than animals because we have a soul. That's just part of my religion, I guess. And I guess I don't think about spiders being equal when I step on them.

AHHH REALLY?? OMG THANK YOU!!!

1. I usually look for realistic and likable characters, lots and lots of action and adventure, and also an interesting world.
2. I'd probably try and save my boss by finding some sort of weapon, just in case, and run downstairs. What are the chances of the murderer actually seeing me in a huge skyscraper, right?
3. Emotional support is nice and all, but I'd probably like practical help. But most times I just try and do it myself, even if I know I need help.
4. I don't really know. But I sometimes think there are deeper purposes for the things that happen to us.
5. I think it all just depends on the reason. There are a lot of gray areas, so you really just need to understand the situation, and based on that, you'll understand whether it's "good" or "bad".
6. Okay, I'm probably gonna sound mean, but, at least sometimes, true. Like if you need to choose between saving your dog, or an ant, you're obviously gonna choose your dog. So in that sense, true.

taurus or aries. i have no clue why. maybe... maybe leo? probably not.

Gemini?

XD
guess i should trust my gut feelings more lmao

1. i like developed characters and good writing, and i appreciate books with humor here and there. i love tragedies. i also like well thought out plots and clues that the reader can pick up as they read.
2. ditch the boss, arm myself. i'd try to find an exit, but not without a weapon of some kind in case i run into the murderer. if there's no way out or no room to wait it out in, follow the murderer as they go after the boss. kill/incapacitate the murderer.
3. i prefer to just procrastinate when i'm stressed, or relax by myself. alone time is the best for me in stressful situations.
4. i think the question of whether we exist or not is complicated. i'd like to believe that i am real, but it is just as likely that i am not. i've arrived at the conclusion that reality is subjective, and the easiest way for me to keep my sanity is to remain in my concrete existence and try not to overthink it.
5. morals are fluid. some crimes will remain inherently evil regardless, of course, but good and evil are not objective. most people are in between good and evil, so it is hard to provide concrete limits for either.
6. pls no *war flashbacks to animal farm*

1. When reading, what do you look for above all else? Describe your ideal book and include any other reading preferences you deem to be important.
2. You're on the top floor of a skyscraper. A mass murderer just entered the building, but the cops can't get there in time. Your boss is stuck on the second floor. How do you plan to survive? Would you go back for your boss?
3. When you feel stressed, do you look for emotional support (e.g. someone to rant to or a shoulder to cry on) or practical help (e.g. someone who will give you advice on how to deal with the source of your stress)?
4. Why do you think we exist? Do you believe in existentialism or nihilism? What will humankind's legacy be, assuming that there is more sapient life after the death of our species?
5. True or false: There is no good and bad, only different morals.
6. True or false: All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.
