Tanya was well on her way, when suddenly, to her surprise, a wolf jumped out, baring its teeth.
It was dark and the Wolf's eyes were gleaming in moonlight. It's ferocity changed to a subtle calm on seeing her, the only person who understood him.

Tanya scooted closer , admiring his transformation. It always seemed to amaze her, everytime she witnessed it. He was completely different from her, yet so similar.
Breaking out of her trance, she replied in a teasing manner, " It's not an easy task for a human to cross a hill, unlike you".

"It was hidden in the cupboard beneath the staircase which leads to the High Tower", said Tanya.

She clutched the scroll protectively in her arms.

He was looking wary, as if caught between something, confused.

He averted his eyes, looking towards the bright moon and said, " You know why it's important to our cause."

Thank you Piya! :)"
No need<3"
:)

There were more important things to be done. She took a deep breath and willed her senses back into the present moment. "Regret over the past is a waste of time " her dad used to say and so turning towards Nina she said, "You still haven't answered my question"
Nina again gave her a wary look and sighed. In deep voice, he said "I don't know what you don't understand.I told you it is for our cause."
He sighed again and said, " Our cause is to find the King of the High Castle and kill him, for killing your family and friends and for...."
He suddenly stopped speaking and sucked in a deep breath.

Tanya looked into Ninan's glowing green eyes. "What if I said 'no'?"
Ninan replied, "You don't want to know."

"Yeah?" Tanya said, "It's none of yours either, Bali."
"Who's Bali?" he said smoothly.
"Oh, don't pretend like I haven't noticed. What did you do with Ninan?"
"Nothing, I'm Ninan," Bali lied.
"You can quit the act. Just tell me what you did with Ninan!" Tanya demanded.

She crossed her arms. "You act like you're some fighter for justice, but if Mira hadn't been killed, you would never have started this!"
He stared at her as if he were frozen, his eyes wide open. It made her realize what she had done.

“I’m sorry.” They both said at once.

Bali stared at her, holding in a small laugh as he took her frustrated expression as nothing more than a passing annoyance.
“I’m aware that my personality is harder to comprehend by such... “Bali let out a shadow of a grin “simple beings”
“Now, will you let me go in peace?”
