One person starts with a statement and the other person continues it so as to create a story.

B | 463 comments Tanya stared into the world, squinting. She could never see clearly without her specks, and it always pained her to try.

message 3: by Austin (new)

Austin George | 471 comments She let out a dolorous sigh as she put back her glasses on, pondered over the ancient map and set out in the direction of the Demon's Hole.

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Tanya was well on her way, when suddenly, to her surprise, a wolf jumped out, baring its teeth.

message 5: by Austin (new)

Austin George | 471 comments She gasped in horror. The wolf inched towards her, it's eyes glowing like emeralds in the dark.

message 6: by B (new)

B | 463 comments “It’s only me, Nina.” Tanya told the wolf. “You can calm down.”

Rushali Gupta (happy_soul) | 5557 comments Mod
It was dark and the Wolf's eyes were gleaming in moonlight. It's ferocity changed to a subtle calm on seeing her, the only person who understood him.

message 8: by B (new)

B | 463 comments The wolf smiled, slowly changing into something that closely resembled a human. But it wasn't human, not really. "Took you long enough." it said.

Tanya scooted closer , admiring his transformation. It always seemed to amaze her, everytime she witnessed it. He was completely different from her, yet so similar.
Breaking out of her trance, she replied in a teasing manner, " It's not an easy task for a human to cross a hill, unlike you".

message 10: by B (new)

B | 463 comments The wolf grunted. “So, what information did you get?”

message 11: by Chinmay (new)

Chinmay (chinmayshri) Taking in the eerie silence of the surroundings, Tanya cautiously took out the scroll from the inside pocket of her coat.

message 12: by B (new)

B | 463 comments The wolf’s eyes widened. “Where did you get that from?”

message 13: by Rushali, Head Mod (new)

Rushali Gupta (happy_soul) | 5557 comments Mod
"It was hidden in the cupboard beneath the staircase which leads to the High Tower", said Tanya.

message 14: by B (new)

B | 463 comments Tanya felt slightly uneasy, though she didn’t admit it. Something about Ninan seemed off today. His eyes were a bit brighter, his tail a bit longer.
She clutched the scroll protectively in her arms.

He was looking wary, as if caught between something, confused.

message 22: by B (new)

B | 463 comments Tanya opened her mouth to say something before he felt suspicious. “It wasn’t that difficult to find the scroll Ninan, why do you need it anyways?”

He averted his eyes, looking towards the bright moon and said, " You know why it's important to our cause."

message 24: by B (new)

B | 463 comments Tanya sucked in a breath. She didn’t like thinking about that at all. ‘Our cause’. The way he said it, like they were in this together. But she remembered the night the villagers came, the pale faces and the metallic scent of blood. He stood there and watched as they tore her family apart.

message 25: by B (new)

B | 463 comments Can someone please continue this. :)

There were more important things to be done. She took a deep breath and willed her senses back into the present moment. "Regret over the past is a waste of time " her dad used to say and so turning towards Nina she said, "You still haven't answered my question"

message 32: by Rushali, Head Mod (new)

Rushali Gupta (happy_soul) | 5557 comments Mod
Nina again gave her a wary look and sighed. In deep voice, he said "I don't know what you don't understand.I told you it is for our cause."

message 33: by B (new)

B | 463 comments “And our cause is?” Tanya snapped.

Rushali Gupta (happy_soul) | 5557 comments Mod
He sighed again and said, " Our cause is to find the King of the High Castle and kill him, for killing your family and friends and for...."
He suddenly stopped speaking and sucked in a deep breath.

message 36: by B (new)

“For killing Mira.” Ninan whispered.

Tanya suddenly turned away, thinking about Mira always made her feel uneasy, and angry.

message 38: by B (last edited Mar 10, 2021 09:40PM) (new)

B | 463 comments But she had to remember. She would never forget. She’d make sure no one ever forgot.

message 39: by claire (last edited Aug 02, 2021 02:02PM) (new)

claire (clairealden) But Ninan snapped her out of her thoughts when he snarled, "Now give me the scroll."
Tanya looked into Ninan's glowing green eyes. "What if I said 'no'?"
Ninan replied, "You don't want to know."

message 40: by Milica (new)

Milica DIY With a deep sigh, she gave him the scroll, which he opened immediately. As he was reading it, she snuck right beside him, leaning on his shoulder. She tried to see what was written there, but he closed it abruptly.

message 41: by claire (last edited Aug 03, 2021 07:49AM) (new)

claire (clairealden) "This is none of your business, and you know it, Tanya," Ninan snarled.
"Yeah?" Tanya said, "It's none of yours either, Bali."
"Who's Bali?" he said smoothly.
"Oh, don't pretend like I haven't noticed. What did you do with Ninan?"
"Nothing, I'm Ninan," Bali lied.
"You can quit the act. Just tell me what you did with Ninan!" Tanya demanded.

message 42: by Milica (new)

Milica DIY "Why did you call me that?" he hissed through his teeth.
She crossed her arms. "You act like you're some fighter for justice, but if Mira hadn't been killed, you would never have started this!"
He stared at her as if he were frozen, his eyes wide open. It made her realize what she had done.

message 43: by B (new)

B | 463 comments Tanya regretted bringing it up this way, but words that were once said could not be unspoken. Bali said nothing, his voice quiet.
“I’m sorry.” They both said at once.

message 44: by Booktastically (new)

Booktastically Amazing (booktasticallyamazing) | 130 comments “Sometimes, you’re incredibly insufferable” Tanya huffed. “You know that, right?”
Bali stared at her, holding in a small laugh as he took her frustrated expression as nothing more than a passing annoyance.
“I’m aware that my personality is harder to comprehend by such... “Bali let out a shadow of a grin “simple beings”
“Now, will you let me go in peace?”

Thank you. I loved yours too Booksy!

message 48: by Milica (new)

Milica DIY I feel the same.

message 49: by Milica (new)

Milica DIY She could still remember the flames that sneered at her as she watched from afar. She could still remember the men in black, who started the fire as if they were just doing something normal. She could still remember Mira's screams of agony that rang through her ears, how she tried to block them since they seemed omnipotent and neverending. And she wasn't sure if she would ever forget.

message 50: by claire (last edited Aug 03, 2021 11:49AM) (new)

claire (clairealden) Tanya leaned against a tree as a tear ran down her face. "Mira," she whispered to herself.
She watched Bali walk away and suddenly remembered the scroll.
"The scroll!" Tanya exclaimed. "Bali come back!"
"That's not my name!" he called, as he began to run.
