KOMET | 868 comments A short time ago, I began reading the new book "This Was Hollywood: Forgotten Stars and Stories" by Carla Valderrama.

This Was Hollywood Forgotten Stars and Stories (Turner Classic Movies) by Carla Valderrama

This is shaping up to be one of THE BEST books about Hollywood I've ever read. I'm learning so much!

Question: Who was the first bona fide movie star in Hollywood?
Answer: Florence Lawrence.
