I enjoyed reading this book. I like science fiction especially when we get to see more of the characters character and what the characters struggle with. I think many teens will find the a good read and it can also be a good conversation starter. 4 out of 5.
Loved this book! It was almost non-stop action which made it a quick read. I think it would be great for a book club, there were so many good talking points! The main character has OCD and he has to deal with that as well as the fact that aliens are invading, because ODC doesn't just go away when you've got other stuff going on. He also is trying to find his older brother. His mantra is "whatever it takes", so you can talk about whether it's ok to hurt some people to help others. AND you've got the whole alien thing going on and how we should act if we're ever contacted by other beings. 4.5/5
A lot of things going on with this story! I liked the back and forth between the main characters Marty and Elliott. Marty's OCD added to the tension and his fight to get back to his brother. Wrap this around a first encounter with aliens and the reader will not want to put the book down. I think YAs will enjoy the book. I also agree that it would be a good book club read. 5/5
3/5. This was an okay Sci-fi selection. There was some action, some character development, and a decent story. As a teen, I might have liked the whole “bad boy” dealing in forbidden objects, but the novel didn’t stand out as exceptional, just okay.
