Bridge to Terabithia by Thomas Crowell. I read this in HS The ending made me cry, but it was always one of my favorite stories.
Sorry if my book isn’t on the list. I’m just figuring this out.

Didn't realize how many books specifically from the year 2000 were on this list (annoying as a 90s child who is currently reading a book from 2000). But, A Fine Balance and Tipping the Velvet are and I'm going to read at least one of those this year.
I recommend A Fine Balance. It’s excellent. Definitely 5 stars!
Cutter and Bone by Newton Thornburg was written the same year I was born!! I'm an old lady lol. Well physically, mentally haven't grown up yet.

I think I will be reading In a Free State by Naipaul.
Born in 87 and read a book published in 87 - The Child in Time by Ian McEwan. Not a fan.

Hope you get something from the read you've chosen, though.

The Lover by Marguerite Duras published in 1984, the decade of my birth. Loved this one. It washes over you gently while reading. It’s very sensual in the content and the way it’s written.
I was born in 1983, so I'm going to give The Piano Teacher a whirl for this prompt! :)
Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden, published in 1997. I mostly enjoyed this one but I probably wouldn't choose to read it again. I gave it 4 stars.

Born in 1997, so The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. Have wanted to read this for ages, and it's a good reason to do so.
