Emma Watson has done a lot to bring women's rights issues to the public eye. For example, in 2014, she was named a U.N Women Goodwill Ambassador and her role is to serve as an advocate for the campaign "HeforShe" which promotes gender equality.

What are your thoughts on her and her mission?

Shawna Finnigan (sugoishawn) | 121 comments I love Emma Watson and everything that she's done. She is an incredible actress and she has been a role model for me since I was very young. I'm glad that she spoke up in support of trans people when the TERF was tweeting hateful comments. That made me love Emma even more.

Leah | 22 comments Emma Watson was a big role model of mine when I was younger and was one of the first woman who helped me face my internalised misogyny and start to become a feminist but I found as I got older in terms of the way she talks out about these issues she really only covers the bare minimum. A lot of her feminism is white woman based I've barley seen her talk out on issues woc face, which she could so easily bring attention to concidering she regularly speaks on woman's issues. I'm not saying what she's done isn't important bc she's inspired a lot of young girls but I think there's more educatated celebrities that should receive the "feminist Queen" treatment we shower her with.

I agree with all these points. She should definitely speak up for woc but she can't speak from their pov. That doesn't mean she shouldn't address the issue, though. Also I definitely think we need to shed light (if that's the right saying?) on other feminists.
