i agree with the plot was good and that the book was quite long and dragged out. as you said like after the deal nothing exciting or eventful happened until she met henry. i liked the characters but yeh i think they were quite 2D as well in a way.

My thoughts:
I rated The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue 2/5 stars. Now, I know this is an unpopular opinion and I don't advise not reading it just because I didn't enjoy it. Also, I DNFed it at 40% so my thoughts on this book are limited to that part of the book.
First off, I thought the book was wayyy too long and not much was happening. Like, after the deal, the book was so uneventful. I know others think differently, but this book was just too slow-paced to me, which was the main reason why i DNFed it.
Also, I just didn't care for the story. I didn't feel a connection to any of the characters, or what they were going through. When we read, we imagine characters in our heads and feel emotion when things happen in the book. That wasn't the case for me while reading this book...the characters just felt so 2D.
The one and only thing I liked about this book was the plot. I have never read anything like this before - the plot was just so creative, so props to the author. The best way to put it (in my opinion) is that the idea was good, the execution was not.
