So if I understand correctly we read a book that collectively will complete the Scavenger categories and the Spell it out?
Edit: Just noticed the team challenge so I should say 'I'm in'! lol
Spreadsheet is still underway. Sorry. Sister-in-law showed up. Give me about 30 minutes. We have 4 books to start with. :)

Correct. So for each book you read, you can either complete 1 scavenger hunt task or 1 letter spot. But we are working as one big team.
We encourage people to read toward the books they most want to see in our library. :)

Ah. Okay so I would be trying for HP then. ^_^

Count me in! :)
***So recent events a certain readathon has brought to my attention a problem we may even have here. Harry Potter. Some of you may know the problem right now. When Mummy and I created the challenge we meant it to be about the books. But it has been brought to my attention that even that can be hurtful to the trans community. If we have caused hurt or harm in this, I do apologize. That was not our intent by making HP one of our task books.
I know for a fact we have several active HP fans, but IF you are participating in the challenge, or would if it wasn't for that book up there, and seeing HP as part of a challenge does directly hurt you, please let us know (here or in a message) and we will fix it. We try to welcome all book series and do have a recommendation thread for the challenge as well. We know not every book is everyone's cup of tea and not liked by all. We just want everyone to feel they have something, especially if it is a favorite. But if it is directly harming or hurting an active member that is no good. For any book.
If we ever put something up that does hurt you, please tell us. I know you won't always like every book, but true hurt is another matter. Especially if it keeps you from participating. While it is only a part of 1 challenge, if that is too much please kindly tell us. I don't want a repeat here what happened there. On a side note, I am making the executive call to remove the author's name from the challenge task and changing it here shortly.
We have this up on our chat thread as well.

The Library Challenge
Welcome to the Library! If you take a look at our groups shelves, you can see we are a bit lacking on materials right now. Every library needs books and we need your help to fill our shelves!
To do so, we must complete tasks. Every book we read will have some names or words to spell out and a few things to hunt down. The letters, subjects, covers, etc that we need can be found in any series book we are reading!
Take a look at our Currently Reading books and the tasks that are assigned to them: *Insert link to where we post completed books-top of the list we should have all tasks listed for books we are currently working on.*
Or look at our spreadsheet of tasks here:
THIS IS A TEAM CHALLENGE. All members are welcome at any time!
For the Spell-It-Out task, you will fill a letter spot that matches to the first letter to any word in the title, series or authors name. For example: If you read Chosen (The Warrior Chronicles, #1)
by K.F. Breene, you can use any of the following: C, T, W, K, F, or B.
*Exception: If the letter X is used in a spell-it-out, you may claim it using any x in the title/series/author.
For the Scavenger Hunt, find a book that fits the description to complete it. Some will be hard, others will be easy.
-You can only use a book once! So choose wisely. Join the challenge chat to work with other members.
-Books used MUST be part of a series or universe (such as Star Wars, Twisted Tales, Forgotten Realms, etc). No page length, age or genre requirements unless specified the the scavenger hunt part.
-Books must be finished after the book is out. So for our current 4 books, you must have finished the book after today. When another book is added, if you complete a task for that book, it must be finished after that time.
On average, novels will have 4 spell-it-outs and 4 scavenger hunt parts. Graphic Novels will average at 2-3 for each of those parts. But this can vary depending on the book, total length of a series, and our creative energy.
We want your help to help us decide what books we should be “reading” in this group. What do you want to see on those shelves? Give us recommendations here: *link to thread*
If you like a previous suggestion made and we don’t have it on our shelves, second it! The more a book series is wanted, the harder we will work to prioritize it.
*Remember that all books on our shelves must be part of a series.
We plan to have 4-5 books in progress at any one time, giving plenty of options for tasks. Be sure to read for your favorites!
Readers may claim up to 1 task spot at a time. That spot will be held for 7 days. Please be sure to check the spreadsheet to be sure it isn’t claimed.
*If, for some reason, you need an exception and want a second spot while traveling or need a few extra days, talk to a moderator.
If you have questions about this challenge, need an exception, need our help adding the the spreadsheet, or anything else for moderators, please ask here.
Here are the links you will need for this challenge in total (besides this one)
Completion Post thread -this is where you will post what you read. Please include what book and task it goes toward and the date you finished reading it.

Please be aware that if a moderator has not read it or is struggling with tasks, you might be contacted for help. Or feel free to offer up ideas right away. You can always second any series already requested, but please limit requests to no more that 3 per month each at this time (subject to change depending how active this gets).
