I thought I'd keep this one simple and just do a two-part discussion. It seems like (just based on what I've seen), y'all prefer just a few discussion topics rather than a bunch of teeny tiny ones LOL

Nym (nymheriaaa) | 32 comments I've been enjoying this book so far. Find it really atmospheric. I honestly have no idea what direction it's going in, but I'm excited to find out!

Mindy'sBookJourney (mindysbookjourney) I agree that it is very atmospheric. The religion heavy repressive community in a historical feeling setting with witchy business is giving me strong The Witch movie vibes.

Ben Strawbridge (fenrar) Hi, I'm Fen. This is my first book with the group and I'm VERY much enjoying it.

It made me think of The Witch too! Super creep factor. Right now there are so many questions it's hard to form an opinion. I'm a little bit rooting for the witches right now. We'll see how that goes.

Jamie Zaccaria I'm super into this book.... I love the mix of old-school witchcraft with kinda modern-feeling cultiness.

A_Clockwork_Moon | 9 comments The folklore and world-building are amazing! I hope that Ezra doesn’t become evil like his father or turns against Immanuelle though! The witches are creepy but also really cool and I bet they will reveal something awful about the town... I am really looking forward to the next chapters!

I can't believe this is a debut novel! I'm so glad y'all are enjoying it, I am, too! I love the vibes, totally agree that it feels very much like The Witch (with some cult-themes thrown in). It almost feels like an alternate historical telling of the Salem Witch Trials or something.
