Buddy Read

Buddy Reads

If you're looking for an opportunity to share and discuss your reading experience with a partner (or several), here's your chance!

Instructions & Info:

Rules:

Use this thread to find your buddy and determine your book! You can always start by posting books, authors or genres you are interested in. When you decide who your buddy will be and what book(s) you're going to read head on over to the SIGN UP thread (see link at bottom) and tell me your book and buddy there (there will be instructions to follow).

1. If you want to participate post your name and let people know what genre(s) you are interested in reading and/or any books that you're interested in reading.

2. If you already know who you’d like to read with, go to the Sign Up thread and post your information for me!

3. Groups of 3 or more are also fine, the more the merrier.

4. I will create individual threads for each group and you will be able to start reading and discussing.

5. There are no rules on what, how much or how often to discuss or how best to pace your reading - whatever works best for each individual group.

6. There's no set timeframe. If you need/want to finish your book by a certain date of within a certain time, you can mention the timeframe you have in mind when posting to look for a buddy.

7. Threads will be archived after a month without new activity unless otherwise requested. (Drop me a line here in the discussion thread if you want your thread to stay open or would like me to bring back an old thread from the archives.)

8. You can sign up for more than one Buddy Read at a time.

ANY QUESTIONS JUST ASK!

Once you have a buddy, go to the Sign Up Thread and post your book and your buddy.

Becca (the_bec) | 748 comments Not sure if anyone is interested in reading classics with a buddy, but if so please let me know! I'm fine with short and chunky books, and I take my time with them, so no rushing.

I'm currently starting Oliver Twist, but if there's something else you'd rather read just let me know and we can get to that one, too.

Thanks!

Yes, I want to read Wives and Daughters! It doesn't matter to me when we read it, so just let me know. I'll set it aside for when we're ready :)

Sorry, just saw you replied. This is great! Could we start it, perhaps, this weekend? If so, I can request a thread.

Or if that's too soon, please let me know the best time for you :)
