Guys, I'm gonna ask to the author if it's available a pdf version of it, is that okay for you all?

Thanks again for choosing PIMFTI. Excited to e-meet you all!

Actually we've been thinking about a zoom conference at the end of the month so that we can talk all together, we'll have the author as well and there's gonna be a Q&A with him. :)

I just need a date now to know when I need to have read it by. :)

Guys, I still have to talk with Josh about it but it'll probably be at the end of the month. it'll be tricky to find a time since we're all over the world and time zones are tricky between US and EU, but we'll get thought this!
Hi! Yes, we're going to discuss and get back to you all. Might make sense to push the date back to June to give everyone time to get the book and read it, yeah?

Yes please. Still waiting on my copy.
We'll have a poll to choose the date very soon! Might be hard to coordinate a time for people around the globe - does anyone have any suggestions for a time that might work for everyone? Maybe early afternoon EST (Eastern Standard Time) on a Saturday or Sunday? That would make it early evening in Western Europe (which is where a big percentage of the members seem to be located). Let me know your thoughts :)

@Georgi you can write to Stephen (the author) for a pdf version of it, then you can convert it on calibre as AZW file! (It may sounds difficult but believe me it’s not)

Sure! He left a message in this conversation as well, in case you missed it:
"Hi all! I'm honored you're choosing my book for your first book club read! I'd love to join you for a Zoom call Q&A. While the press hasn't released a digital version of PIMFTI, I'll happily send people a PDF, if you email me at svandyc@gmail.com. Fabio asked about payment. How does a $10 suggested donation sound? No big deal if folks are broke. My Venmo is @Stephen-vanDyck.

Definetly, I missed it. Thanks, Fabio.
Hey! I spoke to Stephen and determined that the weekends of June 26-27 or July 11-12 would be good! Below is a link so you can choose the day that works best for you.
Times listed are in Eastern Standard Time (EST) - I picked 2pm because that seems like it could accommodate the most people globally (11am for our West Coast friends and early evening in much of Europe, but let me know if you have any thoughts about that! Please vote by this coming Monday, 6/7, so we can finalize the date. Thank you all!

Hi everyone! I'll send out a group message this week, but every respondent to the survey selected Sunday, July 11th @ 2:00-3:30pm as the best time for our call. I'll send out a Zoom link and more info closer to the date.
Hi! Unfortunately I won't be able to call in for the meeting this weekend due to a family situation. If someone would like to host the call, I can send you the Zoom info. Please DM me - thank you! I'll be at the next one. :)

The person who was planning to host the meeting had to back out, and I can't host myself due to a conflict - so if anyone wants to "lead" the meeting, please DM me ASAP.
Below is the information for the Zoom call.
Enter the link below "Join Zoom Meeting" in you web browser and enter the passcode (359365) to join the call.

See you there!

It's really cool to see this group grow so quickly! I have a crush on every single one of you.
A few people have messaged me about selecting a book to read as a group. We'll have a separate discussion thread in which members can post their thoughts and, if there's enough interest, a group Zoom call towards the end of May.
But first, we need to choose a book! In the future we'll take suggestions and organize a poll - but for our first read, I think it'd be cool to support one of our own. A few GofG members are published authors (hotttt), and so our first read (unless anyone has an objection) will be Stephen Van Dyck's People I've Met From the Internet.
Feel free to post thoughts below. If anyone would like to organize the Zoom call, let me know!
Talk soon, cuties,
Josh
