I also noticed what might be a brilliant Easter Egg. The story mostly takes place on Coruscant, and there was a reference to a "Trantor Center". For those familiar with Isaac Asimov, Trantor is the seat of Imperial power in the Foundation series. The planet, like Coruscant, is covered in a single city. I found that amusing, especially since Coruscant is the "Trantor" of the Star Wars universe.
Peter, I've read only one book by Michael Reaves - Battle Surgeons - the first part of the Medstar Duology. I quite liked it but it's light on action. What about this one?
Just a sidenote: Reaves apparently likes to reuse his original characters throughout his SW works. So some of the Shadow Hunter side characters appear in the duology and in his other SW book (e.g. Coruscant Nights series).
BTW Great catch with the Trantor reference. I love Asimov.

Just a s..."
Zuzana, I've not read that one. It was a little slow to get set up, but once it did it's pretty action packed. I'm around page 200.
Interesting side note. I'll have to remember that. I am honestly fully expecting the protagonists to die, but hopefully somebody will survive!
Thanks, yeah I love the classic Sci-Fi masters. I started to reread Foundation when I learned they were making a TV show.
I've read all of Asimov's Robot books, essays included. As for the Foundation series - I loved the original trilogy, but never got to read the rest. I started reading sci-fi as a child - my first favorite sci-fi author was A.C. Clarke - I loved A Fall of Moondust - it's not one of his best books but for some strange reason it worked for me.

It was enjoyable, but not he best thing ever.

I really like Arthur C Clark. I have not heard of "A Fall of Moondust". My favorites by him are "Childhood's End" and "The City and the Stars".
A modern day author that really reminds me of Arthur C Clark is Alastair Reynolds. I really like his Revelation Space series.

I think it's worth the read. He's my favorite from the prequels. But I still think Darth Vader is the best Star Wars villain.
Darth Maul was one of the bright spots of the prequels. I remember when Episode 1 came out, he was so scary, and his action figure was impossible to get. Besides Darth Vader, I think he is one of the best Star Wars villains.
