Maslela | 41 comments Last year I only managed one book on this mountain. This year I got here earlier so hopefully I have enough time to get to 24.

Maslela | 41 comments 13th book - Snow Falling on Cedars by David Guterson Snow Falling on Cedars by David Guterson. Beautifully written, great character development, and brings out emotions (some anger) at some characters.

Maslela | 41 comments 14th book - Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose. It was so good! It is so scary when your life depends on a bench of jurors.

Maslela | 41 comments 15th book - The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga. The movie is so much better than the book with this one. It's very rare to come across Indian authors that write about India and it's not fascinating.

Maslela | 41 comments 16th book - The Crucible by Arthur Miller The Crucible by Arthur Miller. Incredible! I've always been fascinated by the Salem witch trials.

Maslela | 41 comments 17th book - The Devils of Loudun by Aldous Huxley The Devils of Loudun by Aldous Huxley. A bit more in depth than I expected but very interesting nonetheless. A great supplement to The Crucible.

Maslela | 41 comments 18th book - Hex by Thomas Olde Heuvelt Hex by Thomas Olde Huevelt. I really enjoyed it. It was original, and creepy as hell. I purposely picked this one while I'm on my witches themed reading. I should've read it three years ago when I received it. Better late than never, I guess!

Maslela | 41 comments 19th book - Necronomicon The Best Weird Tales by H.P. Lovecraft Necronomicon: The Best Weird Tales by HP Lovecraft. I don't usually read short stories but I definitely need to read Lovecraft. I enjoyed his style, and some of the stories were scary and made me shudder. Otherwise, too many stories about strange things underground, and in the walls. I still love anything Cthulhu!

Maslela | 41 comments 20th book - Midwives by Chris Bohjalian Midwives by Chris Bohjalian. I thought it was a bit slow. I expected the intense incident and trial would take most of the book so was quite disappointed that it was a small part. Most of the book is recollection of incidents. At least the fourteen year old seems to be a reliable storyteller. Maybe also it was hard to get into after Lovecraft's style. I sometimes have issues with adjusting to that.

Maslela | 41 comments 21st book - She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb. Well, lets just say I love Wally Lamb and the way he is capable of drawing the reader in from the first page itself.

Maslela | 41 comments 22nd book - The Beautiful and the Damned by F. Scott Fitzgerald The Beautiful and the Damned by F Scott Fitzgerald. I find this novel so much more interesting than The Great Gatsby. It starts of boring but picks up after a couple of chapters when Gloria enters the picture. I enjoyed it.

Some good questions to keep in mind and keep things in perspective in the marriage. I found it very helpful.
