This horror-thriller takes the reader through a chilling local story about an urban legend that appears to become real and attacking people. The story follows a police detective as she is assigned to the case of all the brutal attacks. This book is gripping. From the chilling scenes of action to the unraveling of the mystery, this book is able to keep the reader sucked in dying to find out what will happen next. I have very few critiques for this book; the only thing that I found noteworthy was the switching of perspectives from chapter to chapter. There were not many characters that were written from the narration standpoint but the only one with any real and fruitful character development was the main police detective. I do not think this hurt the story much but I think it did get confusing to the reader when a random character started telling a, (at the moment), random and unrelated story. The end did bring all these perspectives together and very well at that. I would recommend this novel to anyone who is interested in horror, thrillers, police, or mystery stories. Whether this is the first horror book you read or the one-hundredth, there is something in it for both types of readers. This is a fun book to read and I hope you enjoy it as well.
