(Polish name) here, in my so horrible homophobic country, it’s really rare to find book with no heterosexual relationship:) I’m glad that I found it ❤️




On one level it's a body swap fantasy, on another it's a bit of a revenge fantasy. Weird thing is that it features a plot-line that evokes empathy, and looks at personal growth, self awareness, and self acceptance.
Not bad for a book that sorta had me for its sexy (if a bit kinky) bedroom aspects.

The second-person "you" took getting used to, but made sense later.

Indeed, John. It's not a gripping read, is it! ... I've been told that the narration is so vacuous in order to represent the mood of the time. Still ...

Now I am reading something totally different, an Italian classic: Cristo si è fermato a Eboli by Carlo Levi.

Wow that is another book on my to read list, ever since a friend first told me about Bayard Rustin I've been fascinated to learn more about him.
