Welcome to the Wrath Buddy Read Discussion thread! This thread officially opens on May 23rd and anyone can join at any time. Please keep in mind that spoilers are allowed in this thread but only up to the group's current reading place. Do not spoil the book if you've read further than the group. Any extra days can be used to catch up!

Also the anxiety we felt in the previous book starts from the start, so we are almost continuing where we stopped.

Oh MY GOD.. he really believes that, doesn't he? I just can't 😂😂😂😂


So I just finished chapter 20.
I think this book is the most easiest to read in this series, I just flew thought the chapters, and if I wasn't sleepy (it would appear this is the story of my life this year 😂) I would continue reading it. And it's more bloody than the previous book, especially the Maquin chapters.

I think Brina at this point is exploring more into Dark side of magic, though not using it for dark purposes.

I read till Chapter 17, and Jael is dead!! Yay!!
Never thought I would wish for a character's death so much.

His thoughts about Maquin is funny, and he is missing the basic logic that it is skill and experience that determine the outcome of battle, not age. Reminds me of the Tull vs Morcant fight.

Ok, about the cup... You're right, Mina. It looks like I misread/misunderstood between the cup and the cauldron. It is indeed the cup that gives long life, but also super strength, vision, reflexes etc (as evident from Rafe so far).

Chapter 38:

I haven't read today 😅 I got sidetracked with other things, but I at least can comment on the cup. Wasn't Nemain the one that drank from the cup and lived a long life? That's the reason I said that's what the cup does.

Yup. I should have paid attention to things! It was indeed mentioned that Nemain drank from the cup :D

This book is filled with battle scenes, and they are good.

*Wouldn't it be nice if Lykos got poisoned with mead? I mean he's drinking so much of it and it's his priority 😂

Rafe - I am sure there are many implications to the story. If Corban ever have to duel with him, there will be an unfair disadvantage. Rafe is now superior in all physical aspects.

Like I said I am waiting for Lykos to die. Hope it happens soon.

I'm glad Cywen and Veradis met again.. but I need more of it 😂

My reaction was "stupid stupid stupid Fidele". I can understand her being sentimental about Nathair but how she did it felt idiotic. But that is how people behave in reality too, so 🤷‍♂️

* I just can't wait for Rafe to be betrayed by the horse :D

* Maquin the unbeatable 😂 he seems pretty unreal with how much he survived. He could be one of the Jehar with his skils.
* I know Maical betrayed Ban and that he doesn't trust him, but it's a bit pushing it; telling Maical every time "Oh, but how can I trust you"
* Rafe is so PATHETIC! He's asking for mercy, are you kidding me? He already did that, right? And then he immediately tried to kill them, people are not that dumb to fall for the same thing.
* Viathun makes an appearance, and it's a great one although I wouldn't have minded more of him.
* Craf and Camlin :D
