One Point Tasks

1.1 FATHER'S DAY (6/20)
Read a book whose (Man) Author's Initials (FIRST & LAST) are in your Father's/Grandfather's FIRST name (List your Dad's/Granddad's name).

c. Read a book with a piece of living room furniture on the cover (sofa, armchair, TV, coffee table, etc). Show cover.

2.2 IT HAPPENED IN JUNE
Read 2 Books

1. GREASE
In 1972, Grease debuted on Broadway and the film followed six years later.
Read a book set in NEW YORK CITY -OR- Read a book made into a film.

2. DRIVE-IN THEATHERS
The 1st DRIVE-IN Theater opened in New Jersey in 1933. The premier flick was "Wives Beware".
Read a book with a car/truck on the cover (show cover) -OR- the word wife/wives in the title.

2.3 (Mickslibrarian's Task) PRIDE MONTH
Read 2 Books

Choose two of the following three tasks to complete:

1. Read a book with an LGBTQ+ character (give the name) OR by an author who identifies as LGBTQ+ OR with MPG: LGBT/GLBT

2. Read a book with a rainbow on the cover OR the word "rainbow" in the title OR with a cover that does not contain more than 50% of any color (show cover)

3. Read a book whose author's initials can be found in the phrase "RAINBOW PRIDE" (all initials must be included as the author is listed in Goodreads and duplicates must exist within the phrase) ex. Rainbow Rowell - yes, Andre Aciman - no

2.4 (Linda C's Task) REPEAT DAY – June 3
I decided to go back a couple of years to a task I did as a 3.1 task in June 2019 and adjust to a 2 point task
Alliteration - Read two books

1. Read a book with two (2) words in the title beginning with the first letter of your first name – example – L (Linda) : Lost Lake

2. Read a book with two (2) words in the title beginning with the first letter of your last name – example – C (Coppola: optional posting of last name) : Currant Creek Valley

Three Point Task

3.1 (Mickslibrarian's Task) BUILD-YOUR-OWN TASK
Read 3 Books

1. Pick any June holiday that has not already been used in a task this month (ex. Flag Day, National Olive Day, etc.) and read one book for that holiday (ex. Flags of Our Fathers, The Last Chance Olive Ranch). Include the name and date of the event and the connection between the book and event.

2. Pick any week-long or month-long June awareness/celebration that has not been used in a task this month (ex. National Pollinator Week, African American Music Appreciation Month) and read one book for that event (ex. Buzz: The Nature and Necessity of Bees, Morning Glory: A Biography of Mary Lou Williams). Include the event and the connection between the book and event.

3. Pick an event commemmoration or birthday happening this month. You may use any year, so you can pick something that happened 100 years ago this June (anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre) or 125 years ago (Wallis Simpson's birthday) and read a book related to the event (ex. The Burning: Black Wall Street and the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921, The Shadow Queen). Include the event, m/d/yr, and the connection between the book and event.
