Neither of them are very good but ig house of earth and Blood is better
I've heard that the Midnight Library is a really amazing book. But I can't be sure coz I haven't read either of these books.
The House of Earth and Blood!!Midnight Library is on my tbr, I've only heard great things about it ❤
honestly I am not a fan of SJM and I don't know if the midnight library suits my preferences. However, I'd say read the latter. or better yet read Six of Crows!

OK, I feel like I need to be the voice of reason here. For the love of the written word and good editing, 📢 PLEASE put the SJM Down. 🤔 Don't you feel better now? Although, I can't in good conscience recommend the Midnight Library either. I mean it's better than anything SJM has ever put on paper, 😏 but that bar is shockingly low. How about something in a nice Robin Hobb or Terry Pratchett? Or Ilona Andrews or Anne Bishop? Even Lindsay Buroker or Hailey Edwards would be a better choice. If you're stuck on YA then I did notice someone else mentioned Six of Crows and that is not the worst book to pick. 🤨 It is certainly better than the other 2.
In my opinion, I think you should read the midnight library just because it’s by Matt Haig and he’s a good book writer.
I agree with Heather. I'd take Midnight Library of the two, but how about Maria Snyder or Naomi Novik or Michael Sullivan? You don't have to wallow in the SJM mire when there are literally thousands of books that are hundreds of times better. It's like eating only kale and never experiencing a hot fudge sundae.
