Arthur Less is about to turn fifty, hasn't had a successful novel in years, and his last longterm boyfriend just sent him a wedding invitation. So he decides to travel the world.
Oh, this book. I have honestly never found it so hard to rate a book. I hated wide swaths of it; the ending literally infuriated me so much I threw it across the room. But parts of it also really stuck with me; I have never jotted down so many quotes from a book before.
For better or worse, I will definitely remember Arthur Less.
A friend of mine loved his book so I got it. It is still sitting. With the other pile of books waiting to be read. Wonder if I will love it or feel like you did. It is hard for me to pick it up - too many other great books to read. Interesting. peace, janz
