What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Read this in 2003-2006, seemed like an older, physical book. It had a plain cover that I can remember, mostly a darker, royal blue color.

Part of a series?
Time period/location story takes place?
Did the girl have any family, friends, classmates, etc?
Who takes the Prince and where do they take him?

This is maddening because I'm almost positive that I know what book you mean, but I can't remember the title either!!!

Was the girl named Connie and the prince named Rupert?

Tab: Unsure of time period and location, but it wasn't too evolved in a fantasy way, since the prince learned how to skateboard through the eyes of the heroine, while she learned more proper etiquette hints. I believe the girl had a family, and what stands out in my mind is that the prince had a younger sister as well, since she stated how odd it was that the prince and heroine were so casual with each other even though they had 'just met'. Unsure of the captors and where the prince is taken.

Erin: Those names seem familiar, but I'm not sure. It's maddening that I can only remember little bits and pieces of this! It's a book that's stood out for me for all of these years, yet I can only remember so little of it, given that I've only read it once! Hopefully what little I remember helps you out!
