- [ ] Oh I forgot about Spiro, good thing he is alive
- [ ] I wonder what part he will play now

XXVI Laia
- [ ] Wow! She actually killed a jinn with the scythe! Man I feel so sad for her death though too. I can’t imagine what Laia must be thinking, probably like the time she killed her first human.
- [ ] But I am soo glad Elias was able to fight with her even if it is for just a moment

XXVII The Soul Catcher
- [ ] I thought of the Nightbringer when I heard the prophecy but perhaps it is about Elias, perhaps he as the Soul Catcher will die ? Man now I am thinking he will die! Ahh I don’t know what to feel anymore
- [ ] I hate how they both get a moment and it’s like freezing water washes them and it all comes crashing down!

XXVIII The Blood Shrike
- [ ] Oh Helene, at least she opened up to Harper. I am glad she told him how she felt.

XXIX The Nightbringer
- [ ] Woah the Mauth speaks to the Nightbringer? But about stopping all of this?
- [ ] Hmm. Now I am conflicted

XXX Laia
- [ ] Oh no Laia! I didn’t even remember Rehmat had removed herself from her.
- [ ] Oh man I hope she’s going to be okay
- [ ] But I do have a feeling Rehmat does know the Nightbringer at a personal level. Don’t know how but yeah they have some history

XXXI The Soul Catcher
- [ ] Okay, this chapter confused me a bit, but I hope it will eventually make more sense
- [ ] Also, if Elias is released from his vows, does that mean he still dies and passes on? I am confused
- [ ] But I guess it is good he will now join the war to stop the Nightbringer

- [ ] This is getting good! I know Quin will be okay, it will take more than a collapsed tunnel and an ambush to finish him

XXXIII Laia
- [ ] Okay now I am very confused! So Rehmat was there queen, but it’s not the Nightbringer’s wife though right? But they seem to know each other really well.
- [ ] Maybe she is his beloved? Since he was king and she was queen. Wow
- [ ] No wonder the Nightbringer does actually have love for Laia, she would have reminded him of his queen. And now Laia does have his queen within her!
- [ ] This is so complicated!

woo i finally found some time to read this set!

ahh i immediately thought of Elias, but it could definitely be the Soul Catcher, that's a possibility! fingers crossed it's not Elias, because it didn't sound like a very nice prophecy haha.

i know😭 none of our characters get to experience any damn happiness! if this book ends sadly then i'm suing... i'll take nothing less than Helene and Harper together, Helene and Elias besties again and Elias and Laia together forever. i also really want more of Helene and Laia... basically i just need happiness!!

haha dang, you're a damn genius Karen... i don't know how you always manage to work these things out! i'd have never even guessed that Rehmat was the Nightbringer's old love, but you guessed something similar! i think this will definitely mean that the Nightbringer won't be able to kill Laia when it comes down to it, because he loves both Laia and Rehmat.

100%. and i definitely think that Helene should fill-in as Emperor until Zach is old enough, because Libby deserves a damn break and Zach is like 1 year old haha. Helene would be exactly what the country needs to reunite and recover from all the damage they've suffered.
