Jeffrey Corkern | 9 comments Hello, one and all. My name is Jeff Corkern---and I have a little something for your consideration.

It is possible to rigorously, logically solve the question of what will happen to you when you die. Basically, you rest for a bit and then reincarnate. And that's it, how the Universe works and has been working all along.

It is possible to coldly, objectively establish this process. I have written a short book that lays it all out.

The book is totally, completely free and will remain that way as long as I have anything to say about it.

(Amazon has a habit of randomly adding a price to a free book. I've already had to change it back to $0.00 once. If you're interested and it's free---get it before the price magically goes up again.)

The Nine Point Five Theses: The Existence Of Souls Deduced By The Scientific Method

Herewith what you will will find in the book. (This is lifted from my Amazon book description.)

Do you want to know what’s going to happen to you when you die? I can show you the logically deduced answer.

Do you want to know if you really, truly do have a soul? Do you want to know what you will experience in the afterlife? Do you want to know where your soul goes after the afterlife? Analytical chemist Jeff Corkern has thirty years’ experience studying cause and effect. Now he shows how the scientific method and basic principles of logic prove beyond any doubt that the human soul is real.

THE NINE POINT FIVE THESES: THE EXISTENCE OF SOULS DEDUCED BY THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD conclusively demonstrates human beings—in fact, all the Universe’s sentients—are eternal beings with eternal souls and always have been. This demonstration is done in strict accordance with the scientific method, using cold, objective logic and reason, and without any demand for faith or citing one religious text, using plain, everyday language. When you have finished this book, you will know what is going to happen to you when you die. And that death is nothing to be feared (for good people) and never has been.

In THE NINE POINT FIVE THESES: THE EXISTENCE OF SOULS DEDUCED BY THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD you’ll discover:
• That you and all the other sentients in the Universe must be eternal beings with eternal souls, for a profoundly practical, logical reason: It keeps you from blowing the Universe the Hell up.
• That scientific detection of souls and reincarnation will lead to the absolute, utter, permanent, irrevocable destruction of all evil on Earth.
• The correct definition of good and evil—that good, moral behavior is smart behavior, and evil behavior is stupid behavior
• That you and all the other sentients in the Universe reincarnate.
• One possible way of building a soul detector, an electronic gadget that can detect souls.
• That your life and everyone else’s has meaning, meaning like you wouldn’t believe, all the meaning you could ever want.
• That certain types of animals have souls too, and the profound reason this is so.
• That you have been acting, all your life, like you have a soul—whether you believe you do or not.
• That the meaning of life—something that has been argued about since humans first appeared on Earth—is to get smarter.
• That you and all the other sentients in the Universe have totally free will.
• That the Universe’s purpose is to evolve intelligent sentients.
• That there is a negative relationship between emotion drugs and intelligence.

This book will prove to you, in clear, everyday language and with simple logic all of these things, as well as what will happen to you when you die. And afterwards.

The love of God is a law of physics.

That statement will smash the entire world, one day.

Normally, I would not comment on a thread like this because it's usually pointless to disagree with belief-oriented statements of any sort (e.g., Sorry, the world is not flat.). However, you appear to be grossly misusing the terms 'science' and 'physics' to support your claims.

If I'm in error, please list the scientific journals that peer reviewed your experimental evidence and methodology. Otherwise, your 'Scientific Method' claim seems unfounded.

Leading scientists still reject God
Nature July 23, 1998
Our chosen group of “greater” scientists were members of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS). Our survey found near universal rejection of the transcendent by NAS natural scientists. Disbelief in God and immortality among NAS biological scientists was 65.2% and 69.0%, respectively, and among NAS physical scientists it was 79.0% and 76.3%. Most of the rest were agnostics on both issues, with few believers. We found the highest percentage of belief among NAS mathematicians (14.3% in God, 15.0% in immortality). Biological scientists had the lowest rate of belief (5.5% in God, 7.1% in immortality), with physicists and astronomers slightly higher (7.5% in God, 7.5% in immortality).

Frank Settineri (franksett) | 29 comments Whoa, this is getting pretty heavy. Since no one has returned from the dead (other than Jesus) everything else is pure conjecture. However there's another dilemma that hasn't been answered, that is how were we created, by cretinism or evolution? For what they're worth, here are my 2 cents. Why couldn't God have created life as a single cell and from that point allowed evolution to, well, evolve? This simple explanation might satisfy both sides. And, more importantly I like simple so I'm satisfied.

While I heartily applaud you peacekeeping intent, Frank, I am not trying to start an argument, nor satisfy any "side". I would just like everyone to admit that there's more than one view in this world. I just happen to place more credence in views that provide independently verifiable evidence.

A side note: Numerous mythologies (former religions) claim a deity who resurrected. Examples include Baal, Osiris, Dumuzi, Achilles, etc. And many, many religions (historically, over 1000) have a resurrection story.

Again, I appreciate your view.

Hello. Interesting this subject, and a difficult one too. It may touch believes system of many people. To me, I trust on my own experience (that is different from other's people experience). I remember I have lived other lives, being a normal human being, making mistakes and learning from them. To me is very clear we live several lives, learning something different in each one. And this is not religion, this is my own experience. Demonstrating it from the scientific point of view is a challenges, and even if you demonstrate it, like it has been done before with kids remembering they lived a previous lifes that was confirmed, you will end up with skeptics ignoring science and finding many explanations. May be this is like the UFO phenomenon, that have been considered a delusion from confused witnesses, but today has been recognized by official sources in US government as real, overthought they do not know who is behind these sightings. With reincarnation might be the same, it will be recognized only when lots of people remember their previous lives. I apologize if I am making any body feeling uncomfortable by sharing my experience, but consider this is just my experience. Find the truth by yourselves as I am doing every day.

Jeffrey Corkern | 9 comments Read the book. It's quite short, easy to read, totally, completely free and it won't bite you.

It's all based on simple logic. I even cite currently existing experimental evidence. (Of which there is a TON, by the way. There is a quite a substantial scientific literature supporting the idea of reincarnation.)

I even have a picture of a prototype of a possible soul-detector in there,

I'm actually not trying to convince people. I am trying to WARN people. The THREAT of reincarnation is something not currently understood.

Your rear end is on the line in a way you don't know about, man. It would be wisest to at least read this book. You don't have to agree, but you should know about the threat.

You of all people should read this book.

It will help you. The world will make MUCH more sense after you've read this.

You will see reflected in it things you touched on in your post.

And it's not difficult. It's easy.

This book is not about proving the existence of God. It's about proving the existence of souls. God gets mentioned here and there but it's not intrinsic to the argument.

Just to clarify things.

Late seeing this but glad you found a way to get it. I am new to this self-publishing thing and have only recently learned Amazon puts different books in different markets.

I guarantee you an interesting read.
