Big Magic: Creative Living beyond Fear
Readers of all ages and walks of life have drawn inspiration and empowerment from Elizabeth Gilbert’s books for years. Gilbert offers insights into the mysterious nature of inspiration. She asks us to embrace our curiosity and let go of needless suffering. She shows us how to tackle what we most love, and how to face down what we most fear. She discusses the attitudes, approaches, and habits we need in order to live our most creative lives. Balancing between soulful spirituality and cheerful pragmatism, Gilbert encourages us to uncover the “strange jewels” that are hidden within each of us. Whether we are looking to write a book, make art, find new ways to address challenges in our work, embark on a dream long deferred, or simply infuse our everyday lives with more mindfulness and passion, Big Magic cracks open a world of wonder and joy.

Questions for Section 1 are posted and I look forward to reading your opinions and thoughts. If you have other questions prompted by this section of the book, please create a new thread in this folder.

I believe this is the link https://discord.gg/ if that doesn't work. Someone here should be able to advise.

Hi, so glad you can join us. The discussion questions are all here in this thread. Can you not see them? There's 4 Section 1 questions from last week and like 6 Section 2 from this week. I'll double check that things are posted correctly.
In the meantime, we would love to have you in the discussion on the NaNoCoffeehouse server. Here's a link https://discord.gg/yKg3fx8. See you there! :)

As we turn our attention towards NaNo Nov., I thought some inspirational, creative pondering is in order. What do you think?
Big Magic has 6 sections (Courage, Enchantment etc), Each week we'll have the opportunity for questions & discussion on one section. (Last week will be 2 since the last section is only a few pages).
We will post questions in the group and in the Coffeehouse. We will host a live chat in the Coffeehouse on Sundays. You are welcome to post, comment, answer in response to your reading any time throughout the week. You do not have to take part in the live chat.
I hope you'll join us!
Sunday, Aug 29th Discussion on Courage (10am live chat)
