Trista is the top CIA analyst, one who has been following a Russian spy around Dark Web chat rooms where he conducts 'business'. One day she 'hears' something deemed too dangerous and she becomes a target. At same time, her bosses seem to be hiding behind 'grave national security risk' wall even though Trista has the highest clearance -- or had until they revoked it. Matt is a CIA K-9 officers who is assigned to protect Trista after the first attack. Can romance and love be far behind?

An interesting action suspense thriller evolving around politics with a more central romance theme. Matt also has some baggage from his past that he needs to get past. Trista is socially awkward as only an off-the-charts intellegent computer whiz can be. There's even a virgin trope that makes sense and is well handled.

Of course, there is Sheba, one fab trained belgian malinois and Poofy, a puff ball of a cat with attitude.
