So I will give everyone a word, and from that word you will have to write a story. The word doesn't have to be in it, you just have to come up with something from that word. And make it as long as you possibly can.

So the first word is....
Backbone
Backbone
disaster. my first time on stage was a disaster. i was so nervous, i forgot lines, i was even throwing up beforehand. it is only a 2 night engagement my manager threw me out of pity. after last night though, i doubt i will ever hear from her again.
"dont worry kid, youve got this, this is the one to get you in the door. you do this simple gig and others will start flowing in."
all i heard was no more ramen noodles and kraft dinner. money isnt the easiest thing to come by when you have no one and nothing. but people get paid just by playing pretend. i could do that. why shouldnt i do that? the thought of stage fright never even entered my mind.
do i think that this will be different? the curtain goes up in 5 and i am holding up ok. taking the herbal supplement was a good idea. i needed it to get me here again thats for sure. the other actors are all waiting for me to faint, waiting for this side part actor wannabe to throw up on stage. i hear they even have a pool going for when i throw up. its up to 500 bucks if i blow it on stage. the dead pool.
not this time though, this time i will be fine. this time i will make it. this time i will show them how to be a background character. my 3 lines and following behind the main actors acting will be the backbone of the production. goodbye no one, hello stage lights.

"Such an idiot!" I said as I ran as fast as I could. How did I always let myself get talked into doing things. Maybe I had a problem, I don't know. But at that moment, the only thing I could think about was getting away from it as fast as I could. I had already seen what it did to the others, and I sure didn't want to be next. It was crashing through the branches and brush behind me and I could feel my heart beating hard in my chest.
I finally broke through the woods and emerged into an open field. I cursed under my breath. Or course I had made a wrong turn, but there was no time to contemplate. I took in a very deep breath and continued on. Though my legs burned with tiredness, screaming at me to stop. All the while my brain told me to keep going, I didn't want to be a stain on the ground.
I was relieved when I saw a light off in the distance, a house? Maybe a cottage? It didn't matter as long as I could find some place to hide. Getting there seemed like it too longer then it should have. It felt like hours before I reached the place. I looked behind me and didn't see it anywhere. Had it stopped following me, gave up? I stopped my thoughts and knocked as hard as I could on the door.
There was hardly any delay as the door creaked slowly open. I gasped as I saw a lady standing in the door way. Her skin looked as though it had fallen off years ago, and her eyes had whitened with it. Before I could speak, she stepped out and stared right at me.
"I cannot help you now child." She said, her voice raspy as though she had smoked all her life. But I couldn't smell it on her breath at all. "Run." She said suddenly, and then quickly retreated into the house again.
"Wait!" I yelled and pounded on the door, but there was no other response. All I heard was the familiar swoosh, and the smell of burnt garbage filled my nose. I didn't have to turn around, the only thing that went through my mind was....I never should have taken that dare.

Stars this planet is strange. The plant and animal life....I have never seen anything quite like it before. And to think all of it would be gone soon. All thanks to the stupid Order. Them and there stupid purger machine. But as much as I disliked it, for the moment I was part of them. They had me right right where they wanted me. And all I could do was wait for the right moment to break out. But for now, this collar and the detector around my ankle were keeping me to the task that they had provided for me. That is until the rebels finally came to save me. Me and the rest of us, being kept against our will. All of us had a Mandate to follow, so of them were harder to follow then others.
