If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis.**
Please note that a rating is now required in your completion posts! A small review is also welcome. 😊

Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though.
Remember, it is the team's responsibility to notify the host (me) if a teammate fails to complete the task in a timely manner or otherwise goes missing! I am not checking all the team threads regularly to notice and may only check when notified a task is complete.
PS - If you want to be known as anything other than Team 3, you are free to come up with a team name. 😉

This evening I can check for whatever decisions we have to decide as a team.

But, if I'm ever not around, I think it we get a consensus (3/4 agree) we should just go with that.

But, if I'm ever not around, I think it we get a consensus (3/4 agree) we should just go with that."
Perfect by me with 3/4 consensus.

First Task - All Teams!
0. Each teammate reads a book initially published in a fall month, teams decide which month.
As a team select a fall month. Fall this year is from September 22 through December 21 - so you may select September, October, November or December, then everyone reads a book initially published in the selected month of any year. For this task, use the initial publication date. If there is a date listed at the top of the editions page - use it! Otherwise I will be looking for the earliest dated English language edition regardless of format for the qualification. Please include the selected month in your completion posts.

ETA: I've also got September, October, and December. So just let me know which one to start.

This was cute. I totally saw Fiona in a totally different way! Badass, genius gymnast! So cool! I wasn't happy with the way that Greg handled things with his other relationship but I really adored the he and Fiona together. I can't wait to see what Penny Reid does with this next book. I wonder how this prequel is going to tie in (I mean I understand it will tie in because it's a prequel, but is there going to be something integral to this next story?).

Every Last Drop by Sarah Robinson

Review — 'Every Last Drop' is a book that took every last drop of my tears. (Trigger warning for terminal illnesses, miscarriage.) it is a hard book, and I believe it is not a book for everyone.
I read another book by Sarah Robinson that was spicier than this one. The theme of this book is not a fluffy one. It is very thought-provoking and very contradicted opinions.
The book is full of depth and emotion. I thought the author had suffered this situation first hand. (People, don't kill me, but in my opinion, this book is better than Me Before You.) One of the takeaways from the story was the information I learned about the various Death With Dignity.
Tessa and most of the other characters in the book are easy to like, and I felt like part of her family. The author also does a fantastic job of describing the Vermont countryside. Even if you disagree with Death with Dignity, this is a book to be read. It is not a preachy book for that cause. Don't miss this book, but bring tissues.

Review: Book 2 in the series following Teagan Collins who is happy singing and writing her folk songs in her family bar until she meets rockstar Skye Mitchell. Both of them realise there is more to life than they currently have. A short hot romance with a hint of naughty!

Task 2 - 3. Each player reads a book by a new to you author - no pass for this task.
To qualify for this task, the selected books need to be written by a new to you author. You may have other books by the selected author on your shelves, but only the book selected for this task can be marked as read/rated. Include a link to your read shelf in your completion post, ideally sorted to your selected author. Please make sure the book you read for this task is on your shelves and marked as read. If your profile is private, you will either need to open if for the duration of this task or friend me so I can confirm your book. If I cannot confirm your book, the task is not completed.

Review: Well, now I understand what it is to read Elizabeth Acevedo's work. If you enjoy excellent writing and a unique approach to storytelling, you will love this book.
Xiomara's story is about being a teenager, Dominican descent and the expectations of her. It is about being a girl in a world that favors the male. Mostly, it is about growing up with these living conditions and trying to find your place and not the one that her highly religious mother expects.
My heart broke so many times when I read this story. As a reader, you feel claustrophobic with Xiamora's feels about how the world is both so big and so small at the same time.
I would say that the content of this book is for the older range of the YA youth. I am looking forward to reading her other two books as well.
I hope I did it correctly. If there are any errors inform me to correct them.

Ok, I loved this one. I really did! Theo and Laney were so cute together. I loved their progression from friends-to-lovers and thought their relationship development was done very well.
I HATED what Theo did to almost ruin them. Wow, overreact much? But boy did he make up for it in the grand gesture department...so he was forgiven. I guess it goes to show that even the perfect guy can succumb to his dumb-man-ery (totally made that word up, but it fits!).
I see that this book is a series and I'm not sure how I feel about it. It's going to feature Troy which should be interesting. I'm actually not sure how he's an underdog, but I guess I'll be finding out!
This is my first book by this author but it definitely won't be my last. I really enjoyed the way she told this story!!

Nick, Simone Carter – 9/23/21 – ✮✮✰✰✰
Kindle first-edition ➔ 156 pages
How the Book Qualifies ➔ Simone Carter is a new-to-me author
Review — *Sigh* Based on the blurb, I was expecting a much better story than I got. The premise of the story worked for me, but the execution was pretty bad. Because it was a shorter story, there was too much going on and not enough character build up. Nick seems like a nice guy, but we don’t really get to know him. Darcy has had a rough road leading up to the murder she witnessed, but comes off as incredibly naive and, at time, senseless. This book is dripping with potential, it just needs to be better explored to give this story and its characters a fighting chance.

How it qualifies: Penny Reid is a new author to me
Review: I’ve had this book on my kindle for a long time and I’ve seen a lot of people read and enjoy the series. It didn’t quite hit the mark for me but it wasn’t awful either. I found the first few chapters extremely long but it did improve slightly after that. The MCs did not really endear themselves to me and I didn’t find the book particularly funny. I felt there were a few loose ends such as why did she get fired, where did Jon disappear to, what happened to Jem and the bad guys? I have the next one on my kindle but I won’t be in a rush to read it.

Task 3 - 6. Read 4 books with fewer than 500 reviews.

Please include the number of reviews in your completion posts.
