I need your opinions - is WICKED good or bad??

I think that WICKED was good when they first started it after the Post Flare Coalition, but when years passed without a proper solution for the flare I think the members become desperate, which led to them initiating many inhuman prospects to create the CURE.

They had a good intent that turned bad. All I have to say

WICKED IS BAD OMG!!! They spread the virus with the intention of decimating half the population that was left after the solar flames!!!!

They were doing the right thing - they just had the wrong people involved

I think that they’d be good if they didn’t force people into the experiment things and if they didn’t actually hurt people.

i totally agree

yupp it started out as saving the world and ended up as brain- washing children and letting people die.
i sometimes wonder if they truly cared about saving others or just wanted to save themselves.

In my opinion, WICKED is terrible. Even if they started out good, they where still willing to kill children.

WICKED is evil!!!
They may have started out with good intentions, but their actions weren't right and turned them into these monsters.

Is WICKED good or bad. I feel like there is never really a good answer for this one. It is similar to is what Teresa did was good? On one hand they were torturing young teens that could not remember anything and were taken away from their families. On the other hand they are trying to cure a virus that is killing millions. I’m sure that if we had seen the book from WICKEDS point of view differently. However, I still side with the gladers

I feel as though their intentions of finding a cure and rebuilding society was over looked and honestly they had good intentions. However, the way they carried out their intentions were so cruel and inhumane. It symbolises the way science is used on animals today, and it’s so cruel. Instead of putting them through murderous tests and wiping their memory, I’m sure there were many more possible ways in finding a cure.

That was so well said. I could not agree more. It’s cool that we can relate this dystopian series to our society, and it is also sad.

WICKED is GOOD. The whole reason the boys are put into the maze in the first place is so the can study their brain patterns in the hopes of finding a cure to the flare. They’re trying to save humanity. Yes, their ways are cruel but desperate times call for desperate measures and in my opinion, sacrificing a few people for the benefit of millions is acceptable.

Wicked was good - in theory ,
They started out good! Wanting to find a cure! Okay! That’s fine! BUT USINH POOR LITTLE KIDS RIPPING THEM FROM THEIR HOMES AND OARENTS (CHUCK IN FEVER CODE AND NEWT AND SONYA AS WELL)
IS WRONG.
Wicked : sure were trapping helpless kids in a maze , but for science!
Wicked : no get it right we are scaring and traumatizing them BUT FOR SCIENCE

i feel very strongly about this. i think wicked is bad. they had their heart in the right place but they went the wrong way about doing it. they said they would do whatever it takes but took it to far. ava was nice towards the end though i know she never wanted it to end like this. janson on the other hand should go die in a whole

Right intentions(saving humanity), train wreak of an execution. Who thought,"lets torture children, send them into incredibly dangerous inviroments, then save them just to tell them,'btw thomas, we're going to yank your brain out of your skull to study. Say goodbye!' " and who approved this plan?
