Object: The aim of the game is to score as many points as possible by the end of the quarter.
A special badge is given to the member that accumulates the most points.
Read books for the tasks listed below. Some (but not all) tasks will have opportunities to collect bonus points.
You may use the tasks as many times as you wish.
SCORING: Score 1 point for each book read that fits a task PLUS 2 points for each bonus task. The book must work for the task and the bonus.
EXAMPLE:
TASK: Read a book set in USA (Bonus: set in one of the 'Thirteen Colonies')
You read a book set in California = 1 point for USA
Total: 1 point
You read a book set in Delaware (which is one of the 13 colonies) = 1 point for USA + 2 points for Delaware
Total: 3 points
Please keep a record of your points total at the top of your post.
TASKS:
1. FALL
🍂 Read a book with the letters F A L L (in any order) somewhere in the title.

2. Equinox
🍂 Read a book whose title begins with a letter in EQUINOX.
3. Learn to play an instrument.
🍂 Read a book tagged music.
--->BONUS: The MC plays an instrument. Tell us which one.
4. Wear a cool hat.
🍂 Read a book with a hat on the cover (show cover).
5. Meet the teacher.
🍂 Read a book with a teacher as a prominent character.
--->BONUS: The MC is a teacher.
6. Hold a yard sale.
🍂 Read a book with a yard on the cover (show cover).
--->BONUS: With an item on the cover that could be sold at a yard sale. Tell us the item.
Ex.
7. Must-Have Fall Shopping Essentials
🍂 Read a book where you find any of these words in the text, include page #/Loc: Flannel Shirt, Lotion, Soup, Cold Weather Boots.
8. Fall Fashions
🍂 Read a book where a person on the cover is wearing boots, a poncho, a trench coat, a black shirt or red lipstick (show cover.)
9. Halloween frights
🍂 Read a book with a witch or something scary on the cover (show cover.)

10. There are more than 7,500 varieties of apples in the world.
🍂 Read a book using any of the numbers 7, 5, 0, 0 in some way like the page count or a series #. Let us know how you use it.

11. You can get pumpkin spice everything.
🍂 Read a book where you find the words PUMPKIN SPICE in the text. Give us a page/loc #.
12. Apple cider is the official state beverage of New Hampshire.

13. National Pizza Month (October)
🍂 Read a book where a character eats a pizza.
14. Travel is more affordable in the fall.
🍂 Read a book where a character travels OR a book from the Travel genre.
15. Book Lovers Day
🍂 Read a book where a character reads. Tell us who.
--->BONUS: A character falls asleep while reading. Give us a page/loc #.
16. Bartender Appreciation Day
🍂 Read a book where a character drinks a cocktail, not beer or wine. Tell us their drink.
17. Poinsettia Day
🍂 Read a book with a red cover (show cover) OR with a character named Joel OR with a 12 in the ASIN/ISBN #. Tell us the number.
18. FALL/AUTUMN
🍂 Read a book with a genre or tag that begins with a letter in FALL/AUTUMN.
Ex. Fantasy begins with F.
19. FALL/AUTUMN
🍂 Read a book whose title begins with a letter in FALL/AUTUMN.
-->BONUS: The author's first or last name begins with the same letter as the title's first letter.
20. Fall Books
🍂 Read a book published between September 22nd and December 20th of any year. Tell us the publication date.
-->BONUS: Published in 2021.

*Each book may only be used for one task or letter
*To count a book towards a challenge you must read the majority of it after the start date of the challenge.
* Where more than one option is given for a task, please state which option your book relates to.
*If the task relates to the cover of your book, please post the cover AND the book link.
*All genres and formats are fine.
*Re-reads are allowed.
*No page minimum.
*Please update your original post as you go.
*When you have finished, please re-post your whole challenge as a new message and MARK AS FINISHED or you will not be considered to have completed the challenge and we will not be able to award your Hall of Fame badge
(Even if you don't hit the level you were aiming for by the deadline, please re-post your challenge anyway as you may still be eligible for a lower level badge.)
