Great American Read List discussion

This topic is for discussion of our October 2021 series group read, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.

There are seven books in the Chronicles of Narnia series:

1. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
2. Prince Caspian
3. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
4. The Silver Chair
5. The Horse and His Boy
6. The Magician's Nephew
7. The Last Battle

The Chronicles of Narnia series came in at #9 on the Great American Read List. The books were originally published in the 1950s.

The books listed above are in published order, but chronologically "The Magician's Nephew" is first and tells of the beginning of Narnia. How will you read the series?

I read three of these in elementary school: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Silver Chair. I found the complete series at a library book sale and read them in 2011 (wow, does not seem that long ago!). Though I remember having to make a diorama for Silver Chair, I did not recall any of it. I did start my read-through with The Magician's Nephew, which was noted as book one in my collection, and enjoyed them all, some more than others.
