Martin Jennings | 1 comments Sci fi fantasy book involving billionaire playboy and wytch (book spelling) from another planet. She tells him he is a warlock and needs his help. He modifies a jumbo jet for interplanetary travel and goes to help save her planet after being tutored jn his powers. On planet he shape changes to help complete bus mission. It was a paper back with I believe a pterodactyl and a man on the cover.

Martin, around what year did you read this book?

Please note you must add plot details to the header/ topic title. Just copy from what you've already written in the first comment. Requests with vague headers are closed because this group is so large. If you need help with this, just post a new comment.

Genesistrine's suggestion of Threshold by David R. Palmer sounds like your book.

https://www.amazon.com/THRESHOLD-Davi... There are different cover images.

Wikipedia's plot summary:
- Threshold is a space opera novel, involving interstellar intrigue, mysteriously alluring space aliens, and a hero who is larger than life. Its protagonist, the penultimate issue of millennia long alien breeding program: Peter Cory, billionaire, hard driving adventurer, and unrequited rescuer of damsels. (Due to a "clerical" error in the program, his future wife was born late and is now only a child, but there is no time to wait.) One of the aliens, a "wWyh'j" (witch) named Megonthalyä (Meg) and her obese feline familiar (Memphus) come to Earth to enlist Peter's help.
