ngl I got hungry just reading that category!!

A few seconds of research indicate that both With the Fire on High & Death by Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake include a recipe.

Start your cooking here at the Listopia

I did the Audible version and it comes with all of the recipes in the book in a pdf format. She also reads the recipes and they are in the print book.

I LOVED this book!

Maryam (ardvisoor) | 40 comments One the best memoir of 2020 is a food memoir (Crying in H Mart) from Michelle Zauner . Has many Korean recipes in it.

Erica | 1256 comments Read this last spring, Accidentally Engaged by Farah Heron. Fake engagement trope where the couple enter a cooking competition only for couples. Two recipes at the end.

I did not know that! That book is on my TBR. I'm adding it to my list for this category, thanks.

Evelynn | 4 comments Can anyone who has read Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly by Anthony Bourdain confirm if there are any recipes in it?

message 8: by Alex (new)

Alex Richmond | 65 comments I feel like A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking should have at least one recipe in it?? Either way I'm planning to read it so I guess I'll find out, haha.

Charlsa (cjbookjunkie) | 195 comments All of the books in the Tea Shop Mystery series by Laura Childs have recipes in them. I added the first one, Death by Darjeeling, to the Listopia.

This is what I would categorize as a cozy mystery series.

I also added the following to the list:

The Cookbook Club: A Novel of Food and Friendship

The Recipe Club: A Novel About Food and Friendship

I don't recall that it does, but I might still have my copy around here somewhere, so I can check.

Coleen (coleenphilly) | 22 comments All Stirred Up: Suffrage Cookbooks, Food, and the Battle for Women's Right to Vote by Laura Kumin is almost equal parts recipes and history of the women's suffrage movement.

message 12: by Jennifer W (new)

Jennifer W | 1822 comments I'm currently reading The Lost Apothecary which has recipes in the back for poisons (also real food, if you're not in need of poison!).

Hope you like like I did. I intend to read more by this Canadian author. It's set in Toronto.

Besides having an appealing core cast and delicious food descriptions, this mystery series has so far deftly handled the problem of having a limited pool of suspects in a town/city of decent size each time around. The fourth in the series has a reality show angle to it that I really enjoyed.

The series gives me Madea/Tyler Perry vibes :-)

message 19: by Knight (new)

Knight (theknightgarden) | 25 comments I would recommend With the Fire on High, which was a book I read last year. Although the measurements are kinda out there and the recipe seems to be more measuring with your soul, it does have some decent recipes in there. Also Como agua para chocolate since it has different recipes from Mexico.

message 21: by Kat (new)

Kat | 1 comments Anything from the Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder series.

The Chapter Conundrum (Stacey) | 404 comments The Lost Apothecary includes some recipes at the back of the book :)

Ashley Marie | 1028 comments This is probably quite the stretch, but Fullmetal Alchemist, Vol. 1 gives a breakdown of the components of a human body for use in the brothers' alchemical ritual attempt. So, technically? Haha.

message 28: by Alana (new)

Alana | 4 comments If you enjoy stories told from multiple perspectives, id recommend Recipe for a Perfect Wife. Completely fits the bill for this one :)

Patricia Mae (patriciaflair) | 126 comments I have With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo. But Meet Me at the Cupcake Café by Jenny Colgan has a recipe too. I hope you are going to add it on Listopia:)

Lilith (lilithp) | 1073 comments The Heartbreak Bakery looks interesting, and definitely has recipes in it.

message 42: by Marguerite (new)

Marguerite Schmitt | 6 comments You have to read ‘Recipes of love and murder’ by Sally Andrew. It is set in the Karoo in South Africa. The book even has the recipes for the dishes the main character made. A really nice one to read ;)

message 43: by Jane (new)

Jane | 15 comments Can't have this prompt without at least mentioning Like Water for Chocolate, though I've already read it for a challenge a few years ago!

message 44: by Lindsey (new)

Lindsey Salloway (lsalloway) | 10 comments I read Recipe for a Perfect Wife for a prompt last year and it was a fun read!

message 45: by Christina (new)

Christina (chrissy__) | 127 comments Unfortunately I've read With the Fire on High for the restaurant prompt this year, and Confections of a Closet Master Baker: One Woman's Sweet Journey from Unhappy Hollywood Executive to Contented Country Baker for a prompt last year (two years ago??), so I don't really know what to read for this one yet....

message 46: by Mary (new)

Mary Hann | 279 comments The Jack Daniels series by J.A. Konrath all pretty much start with a drink recipe. For example, book 1 is called Whiskey Sour and the recipe for a whiskey sour is on the first page. I will warn you that they are pretty graphic books though. Definitely not for everyone, but I find the series very ridiculous and entertaining.

message 47: by Sandra (new)

Sandra | 46 comments I don't know if this is truly a recipe, but Poison for Breakfast gives directions on a few ways to cook eggs.

message 48: by Paula (new)

Paula Nicholson | 5 comments I’ve had Tucci by Stanley Tucci on my list for a while and learned that it includes some recipes! Glad I can make it work for this challenge.

message 49: by Nick (new)

Nick Dean | 13 comments Julie Hyzy’s White House Chef Mystery series is phenomenal. Cozy mysteries with a protagonist who is a chef in the White House. Each book includes recipes that are featured in the book!
