Our November group read is Deep Fathom.

My apologies for getting the thread up late today!

Let's read and discuss!

My library has the audiobook. So excited!

Phillip Murrell | 100 comments I can finally start reading it today. I only read one book at a time, but I'm finally caught up. I'm looking forward to reading this after a lot of bloody fantasy stories.

I read this a while back and gave it 5 stars...love James Rollins! Enjoy everyone!

Phillip Murrell | 100 comments The opening prologue was fantastic. It got me interested about so much and made me care about the characters. I hope it can keep up the pace throughout.

Phillip Murrell | 100 comments Wow. I probably should have waited with my praise. It became clear I wasn't the target audience. I suppose I hated this like any person hates seeing how badly books/TV/film mess up the details of their profession. I'm not a SEAL or treasure hunter (I am a 20-year U.S. Army Veteran), but the tactics and basic weapon knowledge were poor. It made it impossible for me to like the story. I hope others have a better time with it than I did.
Here's my review:

If anyone likes a one-star rant. I'm certain next month will be better for me. I'm already curious what the theme will be (and I have the perfect pick for anything Christmas).

I finished this on Thursday. I went through various phases of how I felt about the book. Overall I was disappointed with it. However, I did like some parts and I did get into the story and enjoyed the action sequences and the science. My biggest fault was the flat characters.
