1. With a colour in the title:
Christmas at Blackthorn Manor: Variations on a Jane Austen Christmas https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Lucy Marin's exquisite writing made me almost forget how tired I am of the jealousy trope... The ending was pure delight though. 4.5*
2. Set in a foreign country:
The Knight Before Christmas https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
My third reread of this modern Christmas themed Emma variation. It is a light, heartwarming, sweet and romantic story. 5*
3. Recommended by a friend:
Interrupted Plans: A Pride & Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
A delightful low-angst read where ODC reunite in London after Hunsford and become friends. 5*
4. Part of a series:
Prosperity: Progression Vol. 4 https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
I couldn't get into the 4th book of the Prosperity series, probably because I don't remember anything from the previous books. Abandoned after 30%.
5. That I should have read in School:
Et Dukkehjem (A Dolls home) https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
An entertaining play about conservative morals versus free will, by Henrik Ibsen. His plays have been on the scene and screen countless times, only surpassed in numbers by Shakespeare himself. Ibsen was forced to write a happy ending to the debacle between Nora and Thorvald to satisfy a famous German actress but this version was his original work without the HEA but I still regard it as a happy ending. 5*
6. New York Times bestseller:
The Soulmate Equation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Unputdownable, kind of nerdy but inventive contemporary romance with a nod to PnP. The H River had a Darcy vibe about him and I was thrilled when the h Jess referred to him as "Mr Darcy without the lovely proclamations". The book even had a Dr Reynolds and a Caroline.
Jess was a statistician and a single mother with a quirky novelist BF. Meeting every day at the local coffee shop to work and gossip, particularly about the mute but handsome 'Americano'. Discovering he was a genealogist setting up a genetic matchmaking company lead to all sorts of fun, steamy and thrilling events.
Heartily recommend this book and these authors!
7. Reread:
Goodly Creatures: A Pride and Prejudice Deviation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
Often when I reread the most anguishing books they become less angsty, this was not the case in this instance and I admit to leafing through the most anguishing scenes. It's a painful book to read because of the violation of a very young Elizabeth and the heartbreaking consequences. 5*
8. Animal in the title:
The Trouble With Horses https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Reread. Sweet and romantic fluff where Elizabeth rescues Darcy for a change. 4*
9. Familiar Author:
Sult (Hunger) by Knut Hamsun https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
The book is about a starving author and his mental and physical decay. I didn't like this as much as I have his other works. It is a very dark and disturbing read.
Quirky fact: My father grew up 200 yards from Hamsun's home in the village called Hamsun, and I have even visited his home.
10. Health and Wellness
Indisposed: A Pride and Prejudice Novella https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Interesting plot twist where Elizabeth fell ill at Netherfield and the surgeon believed she was terminally ill. Darcy was swoon-worthy through her ordeal which made Elizabeth's headstrongness in the second half rather annoying. The epilogue was delightful though. 3*
11. Pretty Cover:
Happy by Accident... or Not?: A Pride and Prejudice variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
I did like the horse on the cover and the book was an enjoyable and sweet, low-angst read with a delightful ending. 4*
12. 10+ years (should have been 20+ but the book I want to read was published in 2009 ;)
Fate and Consequences: A Tale of Pride and Prejudice https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Reread an old favourite where Georgiana's reputation is in tatters after her attempted elopement became known. Early understanding between ODC who developed a friendship through a series of letters. Wickham, Caroline, Charlotte, John Lucas and Lady C are villains. Plenty of explicit sexual content. Felt a little longwinded upon second read. 4.5*

1. With a colour in the title:

Excellent progress with some heavy material included.

I am putting the reading challenge on hold because I have several books I have to read first.

16.
Taming His Pet book 1 in Dominante Gentlemen’s Club https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
A pity buy from a fellow author in a promotion event I participated in.
I couldn't stomach the abuse, DNF.
17.
Top Perks, Karen M. Cox
A sweet modern short story. 4*
18.
1811 Dictionary of the Vulgar Tongue https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
Research, 4*
19. Published the year I was born:
This book was not first published the year I was born but the edition I read was published in 1973. (It is perhaps cheating but I didn't find any books from 1973 that I wanted to read).
Og bakom synger skogene https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
The first book in the trilogy about the Bjørndal people. Read for the umpteenth time, lol. 5 fabulous stars.
20. Published 2022:
Mr. Darcy's Regrets: A Pride and Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
A lovely angst-free read, entering after the DHP and most of the story unfolds in London. I have one complaint and that is the second proposal. It was mentioned as a mere afterthought at Jane and Bingley's wedding and offered a paragraph of narration, leaving this reader rather miffed... 4*
21. Translated from another language:
To Kill a Mockingbird https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
I read the Norwegian translation. Gripping!!! Loved Atticus and his wisdom. 5*
22. 100- pages:
The Christmas Trade: A Pride and Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
A delightful contemporary Christmas themed comfort read. Chaste 5*.

23. Female protagonist
Darcy's Unwanted Bride: A Pride & Prejudice Novel Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Arranged marriage plot with an abusive Darcy senior alive. Excessive unnecessary details, (ex: 10+ going to the loo) threw me repeatedly out of the story. Exaggerated, servants who talk back even after D has become master.
A generous 3*
24. Poetry:
En Sang i September, Einar Skjæråsen
A collection of poetry. Not on GR 5*
25. Young Adult:
Austen, Party of Two https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
Alexis (Elizabeth) pastry baker/food truck owner. Brennan (Darcy) trust fund/workout app creator/food critic. Set in US, speed dating first meeting. Baking competition Alexis teaching Brennan for charity. Predictable, chaste, sweet. 3*
26. With Index:
That's What Makes It Love: A Pride and Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
Unnecessarily dreary ambience and many sidetracks. NRR. D is blind, W is his friend and aid. 3*
27. One-word title:
Persuaded: Sweet Suspense in Austen Falls Book One https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Thrilling suspense, tedious development of the relationship. Kellynch a ranch. Good mashup: Wickham sheriff, Knightley doc etc. Wentworth was swoon-worthy as a native American. A couple of good wow moments. Anne was tear-your-hair-out daft, stupid, ridiculously weak and whiny. 2.5*
28. Recommended by a coworker:
Matching Pemberley: A Pride & Prejudice Novella Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Role reversed, engaging, bad Collins married Jane who is sick. Both Elizabeth and bookstore owner Darcy are heirs to Pemberley. 4.5*
29. Set in the 1800s:
Win, Lose, or Darcy https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
Mrs B won the lottery>Bennets to town after Netherfield ball. Gordon vyes for E attention while Sophia (grew up at Pemberley) befriended her, turns out she wants D. Jealousy plot, angstometer sky-high. A little slow but engaging.
30.
All That This Entails https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Bennets of elevated rank, duke Everard, fencing, reread slow, kidnapping, chaste.
31.
Forever Yours, Elizabeth: A Pride and Prejudice variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Immature, cheesy mess. Bingley finds a cheesy love letter from E to D and sends it, the rest is a mess where LdB has died, Anne ran off with a footman W involved. Meh...
32. Only published as an ebook
Caprice and instability
https://www.dwiggie.com/derby/old_200...
Great hook from the start. Engaging and funny despite W attacking Elizabeth in an unsuccessful sexual assault. 4*
33. Make you smile:
Confessions of the Scandalous Mrs. Darcy: A Pride and Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Hilarious, laugh at loud funny, snarky banter, unputdownable FMS after an accident at the Netherfield ball, favourite, RR. 5*+++
34. Involving water:
Beach, Bashes and Banter https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Modern, a little slow in the beginning. E works at D's restaurant by the shore. 4*
35.
When Love Hits You Like A Brick https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Oneshot, E in dire circumstances after the DHP. D rejects her but came around. HEA only alluded to. 3.5*
36.
Remember the Past https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Reread unfair review/rating. Bennets of elevated rank inherited Alston in Derbyshire. Admiral Bennet, Jane Elizabeth and twin boys.
D married AdB, widowed with 2 sons. LC lives with him and is nice. Bad Wickham, sexual assault. Jane/Colonel, Mr B/LC. 4*
37.
Definitions of Intimacy, 5k
https://archiveofourown.org/works/172...
A delightful and funny one-shot about the definition of intimacy. More or less a chaste read. 5*
38. Everyone is talking about:
Five times Fredrick Wentworth had the air knocked out of him...
https://archiveofourown.org/works/369...
Modern sports-themed (hockey/figure skating), YA, Persuasion variation, Mature content, 83k. Deals with racism as Anne is Asian while Wentworth is native American, a potent subject in Norway at the moment. Enters early while they are young ambitious twelve-year-olds. Too young sex scene (cringeworthy).
39.
His Perfect Gift https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Christmas themed comfort read with a bad Mr Bingley/Caroline. Early understanding between ODC. Dragged the latter half. 4*
40.
For Worse and For Better: A Pride & Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
E marry D for security. Badass Darcy discovers this pre-wedding. Guillain Barre disease, a fall, laudanum and influenza turned Darcy delirious. Flooding and epidemic, failed harvest. Annulled marriage, Pemberley burnt to the ground, Wickham tried to get D committed to bedlam, falls through the floor = several plot twists too many. NRR. 3.5*
41.
Giving Consequence
https://m.fanfiction.net/s/12681566/1...
Reread. Caroline throws parfume at Darcy. D rents a dower cottage at Longbourn. NRR. 3.5*

43. Featuring LGBTQ:
That Perfect Someone https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Funny, engaging, E as a vet, horses, bad Wickham, steamy modern. Would have liked to see D sr get his comupance. 5*
44. A guilty pleasure
Grumpy Jake https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Disappointing rom-com, steamy, boring not funny nor grumpy. Teacher/parent romance. 3*
45.
Darcy's Abduction https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Darcy kidnapped by Wickham, short story. Thrilling and sweet. 4*
46.
In Essentials: a Pride & Prejudice variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Unputdownable!
Grabbed my attention in an iron grip from start to finish.
A deliciously badass Darcy has a mistress and compromises Elizabeth to annoy his relations with an inferior bride. He doesn't know about her exalted relations. His comeuppance was fabulous, almost felt sorry for him (not). 10*

23. Female protagonist
Darcy's Unwanted Bride: A Pride & Prejudice Novel Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

Fiance for Hire, Sur Barr https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Rom-com was interesting but the romance felt extremely rushed and underdeveloped. Sweet. 3.5*
48. With chapter titles:
Time's Up: Mr Darcy https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
Reread. MA, D has a mistress Diana who ends the relationship before the assembly, MoC, W kidnaps E & G, JB/CF. 5*
49.
Netherfield Vacation: A Modern Pride and Prejudice Story https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Tedious and uncomfortable read. The adaptation of the major events into the modern era at times felt forced or painfully out of place. The transition from enemies to lovers was rushed. Not an enjoyable read. NRR. 2.5*
50.
A Match Made at Matlock: A sequel to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Funny but long. Lord Saye house party with 10 couples. Little ODC. 4*
51.
Practice Makes Perfect: A Pride and Prejudice Short Story https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Narration-heavy, tedious, steamy with a younger and more immature Elizabeth. Entered at Rosings. Bad LCdB and Miss CB. JB/original character. A fun twist to Charlotte.
3*
52.
Pride & Perception: a Pride & Prejudice variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Reread, didn't hold up well as a second read, not very engaging, too close to canon. Bennets of elevated rank. JB/ CF pairing. Reunion in London instead of Pemberley. Weak Bingley. (5)3.5*
53.
Compromise & Consequence: a Pride & Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Reread holds up well. A compromise at the Netherfield ball. A badass D believes E planned it with W and treats her abominably. E of elevated rank, Spanish nobility. 5*
54.
A Faithful Narrative: A Pride & Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Unputdownable! Swoon-worthy Darcy, Austenesque writing style. D discovered E's opinion of him after he found her diary in a field. 5*
55.
Even More Consequences, a call
https://www.dwiggie.com/derby/2019/Li...
What if Caroline accidentally killed Louisa and acted very implausible afterwards, Hurst is Darcy's friend, you add a gazillion characters and a million sidetracks. Meh... DNF
56.
An Affectionate Heart: A Pride and Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Loved it but it should have come with a box of tissue paper... A gripping, deliciously emotional marriage of convenience plot. Georgiana is suffering from consumption and a broken heart. Elizabeth of reduced circumstances as Mr B was dead and Mr C married Mary who is horrible. Elizabeth married Darcy to care for G because she believed she was dying herself from heart failure. Mr D was a badass husband who cared very much for his sister but not so much for his wife but the development of their relationship was delightful. A slow-burning page-turner. 5*
57.
Forgotten Betrothal https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Paperback. Enters after DHP. Elizabeth is not a Bennet trope, she is the lost daughter of an earl and encounters her brother and later Mr D in a park in London. A courtship ensued and there is a storm in a glass of water when E revealed her true identity to D. Dry and unengaging. NRR.
58.
The Colonel's Brother https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Paperback. Enters at Hunsford pre-DHP Jealousy plot, the viscount is vying for Elizabeth's attention while the Colonel and Anne helped an obtuse Darcy. Weak plot, why would the viscount choose E for wife, a two days acquaintance he doesn't love, when he was deeply indebted? Some funny moments were outweighed by the awkward suicide at the end. Slow. 3*
59.
Nothing of importance
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/14044034T/0
Oneshot from the inn at Lambton where D arrived before Jane's letter and an earlier understanding is reached. Sweet but rehash. 2.5*
60.
Dare to Refuse Such a Man https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
ODC against the world plot, or rather, Mr Bennet. Enters with a fabulous twist to the assembly because ODC had met before canon. Occasionally reflection-heavy. Romantic and engaging but the momentum dropped severely in the latter half and some twists were implausible, bordering on the ridiculous. 3*
61.
As Fate Would Have It: A Pride and Prejudice Variation Novella https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
What if Elizabeth had replied to Darcy's letter... E sprained her ankle, D rescue her and they sleep in a cabin but no FMS. Sidetracks. Steamy conclusion after the wedding. 3*
62.
No Such Thing As Luck: A North and South Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
A North and South fanfic. Margaret goes to Spain to visit her brother and encountered Mr Thornton on the ship. An early understanding but Mr Thornton was mistaken for Fredrick and arrested. Steamy, sidetracks, slow-burn. 4.5*
63.
NO, Mr Darcy: A Regency Romance inspired by P&P https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Bad Jane off the page in a few narrated paragraphs, telling not showing, confusing formatting, dry, caricatured characters. NRA. DNF.
64.
The Wager
https://archiveofourown.org/works/322...
Darcy, Richard and the viscount wager a 1000 pounds that Darcy (OOC) cannot get the fastidious Miss Elizabeth to fall in love with him and dump her at the altar. Thrilling! 4.5*
65.
The Beastly Mr Darcy
Read for revising, editing, and publishing in July.
66.
Doubt Not, Cousin
Unpublished, beta read. Dark ambience with a fabulous Colonel Fitzwilliam. 5*
67.
The Marriage Bargain https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Unputdownable. Sky-high angst, Darcy has a tendre for Miss Bingley but marries Elizabeth for her dowry. She is the only surviving Bennet, living with a widowed uncle Gardiner. The angst was heart-wrenching as Darcy treats her abominably and drools over Caroline. The resolution was anticlimactic, more friendly than passionate. RR. 5*
68.
Sole Mates: A Pride and Prejudice Magical Short Story https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Fantasy, odd.
69.
A Wilful Misunderstanding: A Pride & Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Reread, sequel. D tosses E out after Georgiana tells him lies about W&E Caroline has told her. Caroline puts a handkerchief with his initials and a look of hair. D sends her to Yorkshire and she runs to Waymouth. Slow reconciliation. NRR.

71.
Compromised by Mr. Darcy: A Steamy Pride and Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Dry steamy variation. Compromise at Netherfield. Unengaging and about as enticing as watching paint dry.
72. 500+ pages
Doubt Not Cousin v19, to be published through Meryton Press.
Beta read 2nd time.
73.
Donut Swipe Right https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
Steamy, modern, dating app, the excessive swearing was grating. 3.5*
74.
This terrible Love
https://meryton.com/aha/index.php?/to...
Unputdownable page-turner. Sky-high-out-of-this-world-and-then-some level of angst. D has a mistress he want to but cannot marry. He married E to carry his children with full knowledge he loved his mistress. He even brought his mistress to live with them at Pemberley. Bittersweet ending. 4.5*
75. Green book cover:
The Secret Life of Maggie Blake https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Contemporary spy novel about stay at home mom Maggie and her detached secretive husband. The relationship is interesting but ended a bit anticlimactic, the spy plot was not intriguing. Slow beginning, reflection-heavy, too long, chaste. 3.5*
76. Business themed:
The Barrister's Bride https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Second son plot and Elizabeth in reduced circumstances due to Mr Bennet's death but it was not dire.
Reflection-heavy, explicit mature content. NRR.
77. A memoir:
How to be Champion: My Autobiography https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
Sarah is one of my favourite comediennes but her memoirs felt like they had been written by a juvenile. Leafed through the last 70%.
78.
Twelve Dates with Gentlemen Friends: A Modern Pride and Prejudice Reimagining https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
A funny, angst-free, modern rom-com, complete with meet-cutes and HEAs for Elizabeth, Jane, Mary and Charlotte. Unique and engaging, fabulously well-written banter. 5*
What a month!
Good news:
We have ordered a new car, it's our first brand new one and electric... Yay! Hopefully, it will arrive in July but we might have to wait until August. It would've been lovely if it had arrived before we go on vacation because it is a Hongqi E-HS9 Exclusive which is a much larger car than my tired old Volvo XC60.
Bad news:
Last Tuesday, two men broke into my house while my twelve-year-old autistic son was home alone. He was taking a shower when he heard them throw a large stone through the back door window and our dog howling. He turned off the water and sat quietly on the floor, hoping they would not notice him while they searched through the lower and upper floor, but they eventually kicked through the door. I'm extremely relieved that they fled when they discovered that there was a child in the bathroom. I returned home three minutes later and called the police who arrived with dogs to search the area and caught one of the intruders.
The experience has been a combination of surreal and traumatising, and I wonder when my son will feel safe in our home again. We have installed an alarm but he has trouble sleeping and is scared of all loud noises and people he doesn't know...

Great progress on your reading, though.

My son's name is Tinju, which is an old Norse name, Sheila.
The burglars left with very little, they took my youngest son Ola's wallet with $70 and a half-empty box of Ritalin. But they did destroy a lot. The veranda dør, the bathroom door, a wardrobe door and my new parquet floors in the living room because the stone they threw, bounced 12-15 feet. We put in new floors in December...
It's all very strange that they did not take my new laptop, the PlayStation, the Nintendo Switch or $100 that was laying on tables but had pulled out every drawer and searched every wardrobe.
The expense of the deductible on the insurance and the cost of the alarm could not have come at a worse moment since I emptied our coffers to pay off the loan on our old car last month but the worst is the effect it has had on Tinju. He is not comfortable outside our house but now he is no longer comfortable being at home either.

Here is a thought, Elin. Write him a short story or one-shot where Tinju is a strong and brave Norse warrior even when he has to hide from the enemy. Perhaps this brave warrior knew that if he confronted them, he might hurt them and Tinju of your story has pledged to cause no harm if at all possible. He needs something to focus on other than his own fear and feelings of being helpless. Brag on his actions of being quiet and not drawing attention to himself. It was just a thought. They were probably looking for drugs, medications, and or jewelry since they didn't take any of your technology. Blessings, my dear.

Story Sensei Deep Point of View worksheet: Draw the reader into the mind, body, and soul of your characters https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Research writing deep POV. A nice read to get an overview but no an in-depth analysis. 4*
80.
The Earl and the Mud-Covered Maiden https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Regency romance. Chaste but for kisses and sexual tension. Sophy rejected "Mr Collins" proposal and instantly falls in love with the earl. A poor girl--rich man trope with a week plot and fangst that was bogged down by excessive unnecessary descriptions of clothing and scenery. 3*
81.
Rescuing Elizabeth Bennet: A Pride and Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Engaging kidnapping plot where ODC were captured together. Plenty of tender moments, didn't like how many times they claimed marriage to the other abhorrent after they had fallen in love.
4.5*
82.
Duty and Deceit: A Pride and Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
ODC meet prior to canon and wed. Separated after a month for 6 years and son. Gripping but it lost its momentum towards the end. 4.5*

Abandoned, didn't like the plot, the characters or the storytelling. NRA.
84.
A Frankness of Character: A Pride and Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Abandoned, too laborious to read for anyone with attention deficit dissorder. Run on sentences and over wordlyness drowned an otherwise excellent story.
85.
An Inn-cidental Compromise https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Hilarious and bawdy FMS where ODC are secretly married after an accidental compromise at a Scottish inn. 4.5*

More Than He Seems: Reinventing Pride and Prejudice's George Wickham https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
A very long and slow book redeeming George Wickham and Lydia. NRR. 2.5*

A Timely Elopement: A Pride and Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Enters at DHP that are aborted due to an elopement. A few creative, surprising twists and turns. A tad reflection heavy that instead of rising my anticipation felt like stalling. A pleasant sweet read.4*

Darcy's Pride: A Modern Retelling of Pride and Prejudice https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
This, I believe , is a new author who has not yet honed her storytelling skills sufficently to draw the reader in. It was dry, but the premise was interesting and set in Australia. Formatting issues, all footnotes lead to two words: '5 senses' There were many errors, and one particularly hilarious typo: 'Paula wore a very brief bikini, which showed off her full beasts, and curvy bottom.' Ha ha.... 2.5*

Her Sisterly Love: A Pride & Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Mr & Mrs Bennet as abusive parents and Elizabeth acts as her sisters parent. Dry and weak plot. 3*
Happy summer to you all!
I am in a reading slope and nothing holds my attention at the momement so I have binged watched Love Island UK,
US and AU (sigh...) That is a scenario for a modern mash up I am dying to write but very few would be interested in reading, lol.

I am taking a long break from reading/writing and hope that my ability to immerse myself in a good story will come back to me. (Fingers crossed)

Colonel Brandon in His Own Words https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
CB's story, is interesting but slow. Too little interaction between ODC and the ending was a very quiet affair that left me wanting. Worthwhile.

Epiphany: A Pride & Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Enters after the Netherfield party left Meryton. A jealous AdB came to Meryton to warn E against forming an attachment to her betrothed. Fun, chaste and engaging. Very well written. 4.5*
