In the ICU: my private horror story is somehow not linked to the author's page at GR. At least, a click on the author's name goes to the right page, but this book is not listed there.

Very short book and scary. She had covid and hospitalized, so drugged up she had nightmares and lost track of what was happening.

January 7 -- I just looked at this one again and the link seems correct now.

For this book, which I'm currently reading/reviewing, the book blurb has one of the author's names misspelled. The correct spelling is on the cover and in the author list.

Yeah, I stay away from there as much as possible, it is chaos. :-)

So I added an ebook version because I can't add the Kindle version until one is actually published. I can go back and update once the Kindle version is released, right now the only format that shows available on the Amazon website is the paperback version.

I can't tell if the author just changed her name or if someone is plagiarisinging the original author. I can't combine them or "fix" them because they are not an author here or Amazon. Do you know the author? I will see if I can find a way to reach out and ask but I will have to wait to do anything until I can confirm the author's identity.

And also look at the title - when pull up author's books, it is named "Marrying Mr. Darcy: Books 1-4 Complete Series (Danger and Darcy Book 2)". Unsure where Danger and Darcy comes from (cannot find a reference to that anywhere)... if you look at her books there are a few Danger and Darcy corrections.

Okay this one is going to take me a bit to untangle. The author has changed the names of the series for the paperbacks, the Kindle version of the series it also wrong so I have to work through each of the books and their editions to try and get it fixed. Don't think I forgot about it.

I really dislike all the cover and title changes done now on the regular. I was unsure about older editions and GR rules. I do not think that older and original editions should be changed after the fact. For example, when the series is on the cover - if down the line author decides to rearrange and change everything and the entry does that, it is not correct representation of what I have in my hand. Sorry about the rant. This just drives me nuts, as GR is how I keep catalog of my library and when entries change incorrectly to reality :(

I now have to add complete book information and cover to every review because I cannot rely on accurate GR entries anymore! And besides reviews & recommendations, that is the point of GR - an accurate database of books. Or it was before Amazon bought it.

Oh I know the feeling, it's why I try to be super careful about making sure it matches the author's website or another reliable source and then rotating that with a link in the Librarian comments section of the details so hopefully they don't change it. The issue comes when Amazon pushes "new" books or changes and it overrides ones that have been made here. It is a mess....lol
