I've seen some buzz about the book. What did you think about it?

I chose That: A book that is a spooky as you can handle. I read Stephen King's Carrie. I've read 14 Stephen King novels, but had never read Carrie (which was King's first). I liked it. It was told in a creative way using a lot of newspaper clippings and book excerpts to foreshadow what was to come. 4 stars

I really enjoy Simone St. James, so she can do no wrong for me. This was a little tamer than some of her other books but honestly, I really enjoyed it. It was nice because I've had a few months now of a lot of meh books.

Amy (amybtate) | 16 comments for October I chose both.

this, orange cover "our wives under the sea." I wanted to enjoy it, but I just... didn't.

that, "witches abroad" by Terry Pratchett. I had read a bunch of really heavy books recently, so I the spookiest I could handle was a funny book about witches. I really liked it, and it was a nice change of pace for me.
