Read again: Eden's Wish and Eden's Escape by M. Tara Crowl
I read Stowaway by John David Anderson... so so so good!

Stranded in Gander on 9/11.
This is a true account by the author when his flight from France to New York on that fateful day landed Instead in Gander Newfoundland after the US air space was closed following the terrorist attacks. Reading about the sacrifices and extreme kindness that the 9000 people of small town Gander exhibited to the 6,500 passengers that were diverted there from 38 airline flights, made me proud to be a Canadian. The author describes about friendships forged between fellow passengers and also passengers and their hosts.
This month I plan to read another book about Gander and the filming of “COME FROM AWAY.

I remember hearing about how brilliantly the Gander folk pulled through for the stranded passengers.
Is this suitable for MG, Elaine?

I think we're having trouble on a number of threads where people are forgetting that this is a Group for Middle Grade (Grade not School) which roughly equates to the 9-12 year old group in Europe).
It doesn't help that the new owners of Goodreads have removed all the useful clues like Genre and what people have shelved the book as on the books page. There is a button marked 'Beta' on book pages at present. Please click it and give them feedback, especially about genre and other people shelves which is a pretty accurate assessment of suitability, usually!

My favorite read from November was definitely Premeditated Myrtle by Elizabeth C. Bunce. I've been wanting to start this series for a while now. Myrtle has just the right balance of outspoken independence and familial devotion. Historical, plausible, likeable, diverse. I'm hooked.
