Okay, a handful of members and no discussions and that is after the mess on sunday at the World Championship?

Should I call an ambulance and see if we can get some resuscitation?

Hi,

Someone had to, it is sucha good idea for a site dedicated to F1.

I have a shelf of biographies from the greats and not so I have read over the years.

As for Sunday, I am trying to block it from my mind.

So what is your aim for this site?

Happy to help out.

There is a lot of F1 fans out there and a lot of F1 biographies and histories. Not that I have much time to re-read currently but if you decide what you are after I can help out.

For example, I mod on 3 sites so it is easy enough to send out an invite to all members of all sites letting them know about this and offering them a place?

Equally starting discussions. The biggest upset in F1 since 1994 just took place, surely a few folk will wanna vent on it?

Essentially, what I want from this group, is to create a group where I give people a chance to read and just have a safe space to do so. While I haven't had much time to do so, I am eager to get a start on it and in the new year give us all of a chance to read something that we might have not thought about before.

So, all suggestions are deeply appreciated at the end of it. Word of mouth is the best and I hope everyone gets a chance to have a safe space in this place. I'll eventually get to make a rant channel since hey, we're all human beings!

I'm curious as to what book suggestions you happen to have since I'd love to have it move forward and purchase some biographies and histories of F1 since we'll all be on hiatus until March. Let's take advantage.

A safe place to read?

Not sure what that means, since when has reading been unsafe?

As for book suggestions a fun one and light read would be Winnow your words - Kimi`s book of Haiku`s. Easy short read and really funny.

Not sure how available it is though as it was a charity limited edition when I bought it.

Or Maurice Hamiltons Niki Lauda Bio is great, finally Adrian Neweys Biography is a great read to.

I could suggest many more but those are the three obvious.

If you want a big hefty volume that will take a time to read The Life of Senna by Tom Rubython is a absolute classic.

Will add them to the relevant section.
