Even if you can't take a trip right now you can plan a literary vacation! Where have you always wanted to travel? Read a book set there!

Karen - As I try desperately to check off the final boxes before the end of the year, I looped back to this recommendation. It is the perfect light and fast read for this moment, when I have Covid AND too many remaining prompts. Thank you! I don't think I ever would have come across it without your recommendation!

Karen | 76 comments The Pull of the Stars by Emma Donoghue The Pull of the Stars The story takes place in Ireland, a place I would love to visit. The setting is a maternity ward during World War I amid the influenza pandemic of 1918. Even though it was set a century ago, it was rather relatable. Anyone who has read All Quiet on the Western Front will have a greater understanding of the main character's brother.

Leslie | 25 comments I was looking for something on my shelves set somewhere I would love to visit and ended up reading The Lady Rogue. It's a young adult novel set in Romania. It's very young adult novel feeling, light and fast. And who wouldn't want to go to Romania?
