KimMiE” decided to pick up an often banned novella about a British steamship captain in 1890s Congo, which got her thinking about how little has changed. “One-hundred and twenty-two years after the publication of Heart of Darkness, maybe we shouldn’t feel so superior to Joseph Conrad.”
