Any gothic-horror/surreal mystery suggestions anyone?

I have a bit of time right now, so I thought I’d post. All of these can be found at Project Gutenberg as free ebooks.
These could fit your requirements:
The Yellow God: An Idol of Africa
Four Weird Tales
The Red Lady
The Mystery of M. Felix
Tom Ossington's Ghost

I wasn't able to read much of the classics last year, so this year I am planning to finish a series that I started a while back by Anna Katherine Green of Detective Gryce (I guess this is what it is called.) I'll search and add the books here later but I need to write this before I forget.
Also, I am planning to read a couple of classic books I have on my shelf like books by Jane Austin (I have no idea why, but somehow I am never able to pick up her books and read! Maybe the hype is too much and I am worried I'll be disappointed.)
I'm open to any recommendations as I mostly read classics on recommendations only (esp. that of Dagny and Cheryl - thank you guys!!)
Happy New Year and loads of love and light to all <3

Thanks a lot, Cheryl. And sorry for the late reply, I just read this comment. I'm adding these to my booklist. Again, thanks a ton!

1/1/22-12/31/22
1. O Pioneers! by Willa Cather. Grownup version of Little House on the Prairie. Beautifully written. 3.75 stars. Read 1/13.
2. A Month in the Country by J.L. Carr. 2.75 stars. Read 2/1. I was interested in the uncovering of the hidden painting but was underwhelmed by the whole process of discovery and the supposed healing the protagonist was enduring. I just didn't feel it. Obviously, seeing other's ratings, I was in the minority.
3. The Chrysalids by John Wyndham. 5 stars. Read 3/23. Sci-fi Classic. Post Apocalyptic. Hundreds of years after an atomic(?) war, society has banned all physical mutations. Interesting philosophical discussions about religion and individual rights.

Any gothic-horror/surreal mystery suggestions anyone?"
The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins. Somehow I have never read this one but I plan to read it this year. I have heard wonderful things about it though!

Dagny,
I think you’ve read most of the famous classics, so there’s probably less for you to choose from. Also, you probably want to read more types of books than you did before. I know my reading selections have changed.

Fran wrote: "Wow! Cheryl! Those are impressive classics. Which was your favorite out of the most recently posted?"
Fran,
I liked War and Peace the best. Very long, but pretty readable with interesting characters. (Skip the Epilogue Part 2. It's Tolstoy's philosophical essay on History etc. . Most of it went over my head.)
