Go on a small adventure out of your comfort zone! What's a genre you haven't read from before? Or a genre you've tried but haven't read very often?

Ideas:

high fantasy
dystopian
horror
romance
historical fiction
literary fiction
graphic novel
self-help
true crime
drama (stories written in script form)

River (riveraria) | 10 comments I read ‘Finding Emma’ by Courtnee Turner Hoyle. I started this book without knowing the genre and boy was I thrown for a loop! I don’t want to give too much away, but this book literally kept me up the night after I finished it. It wasn’t horror or thriller or frightening, it was just unsettling in the way you question yourself and how you would respond. I highly recommend this book. It will come out in March.

What is the genre of this one? You’ve piqued my curiosity!

It's romance and science fiction. I got it as an ARC without knowing anything about it. That twist....

Erin (thegigglingwillow) Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert ✔ Contemporary Romantic Comedy with oh-so detailed descriptions of sexual sensations..... yeah, not normally my thing!

Karen | 76 comments Tipping the Water Jar of Heaven by Sara Parrott Tipping the Water Jar of Heaven I read this book becuase a friend recommended it. I rarely read poetry. The poet is quite religious so several poems had religious themes. To get a bit more poetry in my life, I may read some of the poetry books from the BYL upper levels.
