When Kim & Bryant interview Suzie Keene & Libby Turner, both women had fond memories of their abductions. What did you make of them at the time?

Lynn (ftbooklover) This seemed very odd. I never thought that there was a possibility of 2 abductors, but I did think that something major had changed to cause the change in the way the abductions occurred.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I couldn't imagine two little girls being kidnapped, stay in a room for a year, then be released and still have good memories about what happened. Yes, their home life was bad in some cases, but this would be like spending a year in a comfortable prison.

I guess from a child’s perspective, the abductor made them feel safe whereas their homes were not. Children adapt quickly so this didn’t surprise me. But, that as adult women, their inability to see how wrong it was surprised me. It’s unfortunate that their views were so messed up.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I thought the children were grateful that the abductor got them out of their dangerous homes. Even as adults, I believe they were relieved that someone took them from the abuse. Even though the abductor kept them in a room, they "felt" the presence of someone who cared for them.
