Play Book Tag discussion

This is the 3rd in a series where the author inserts himself into the story and is writing a book about the murder that is being solved. He casts himself in the clueless Watson role with the detective being the mysterious Hawthorne. When everyone, including the police and the writer, assumes the mystery is solved 2 chapters before the end, I knew there was still something to be revealed. I enjoyed the setting on a small channel island and the local characters.
