Yes, the virtual silent book club posts their books on Zoom chat so the moderator can add them to the thread on their main page!

And if you'd like to share your groups that have other challenges you can put them in our Affiliates thread x

LOL Jazzy is a Beatnik *snap, snap*

Bernard so many groups have so many rules, more or less I just want people to enjoy reading!

And while I am not a fan of this guy in general, this reminds me of a song about reading:
"I'm Reading a Book" and you really have to watch the video to appreciate it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuRuw...
but if you have epilepsy or get migraines from flashing lights, just listen. Best to hear it all the way to the very end, IMO
Look, Jazzy, I'm posting a song in the "wrong" thread ;)!

Sounds like Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry Into Values. Where you get rid of test!

Vive la révolution!

Pam, for most books it’s 50 years from first publication. I’ll leave Jazzy to answer about westerns & children’s books as some groups have different rules for these & I’m not sure of Jazzy’s opinion.

Thank you for the clarification Jazzy!

In the monthly challenges, we're to read classics or short stories. Does that mean the short stories don't have to be classic?
In that case, can a short story be a TV novel, like a Doctor Who novel, for instance?

No! This group is all about classics (published 50 or more years ago). Our challenges need classic books or classic short stories. “Short stories” are only mentioned separately as many groups have a minimum number of pages required in books used for their challenges, but we don’t. If you need ideas, look at the examples of suitable books given with each challenge.
Not sure how about something? Just ask!
