Firstly, because of the cover. It just is so bright and happy-looking and makes me feel good just seeing the cover.
Also, everyone I talk to says it's such a feel-good/happy book to read!

I second this! I can't wait to read it!

I'd like to nominate The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer, which I found on top of the Listopia Happy Books for Book Club.

It's my selection for happiness in the pair of opposites for the Penguins and Polar Bears Challenge (February Theme: Happiness/Sadness).
Besides having "happiness" in the title I think it's a good option because the plot is also related to the Quarterly Theme "Mother Earth" since it takes place during three weeks in the remotest wilderness of a mountain range in Wyoming. Other pros: the cover is gorgeous and the rating is high (4.08)

Looks like my nomination was read in 2016 so I'm going to second The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. It is a happy novel.

Reasons why this fits with the theme:
- The title contains 'happy'
-The book features a town called Happiness
-The cover is bright, colourful and looks happy!
- A feel-good rom-com that brings some well-needed joy!

The connection is the title.

I will third this book!

It's a book that never fails to bring me happiness :)
I'm also closing nomnations and posting poll right away. I had my third vaccine today and am posting early in case my arm hurts badly tomorrow.

Time to nominate for March is Happiness.
~Please remember to state a connection to the theme when you nominate.
~Books we have read less than three years ago are not eligble. To see which books are not eligble, see this google sheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...
~ Each person can nominate 1 book.
~ Book must be available both as a physical copy and as an ebook.
~ Authors: Please do not nominate your own book.
~ Please do not nominate books that are part of a series, unless it is the first book.
~ You can second someone else's nomination, but that will count as your nomination.
This thread will be closed by January 26th, and we will choose ten books for the poll. If there are more than ten books nominated, we will choose "seconded" books first. If there is still a tie to get into the top ten, we'll go back to the Goodreads average rating to see which is highest.
