My 2022 bookcovers:

I am following. I don't do formal challenges.

But try Ursa Dax Sea Sand Warlords series. It's very romantic and books 2 and 4 are so funny I could not stop laughing.

I am going to do something different with this challenge. I was updating my TBR spreadsheet for 2022 and determined that I have books by 783 authors that I have never read before. So my ABC challenge for this year is to read new authors whose books I currently have in my collection. Part 2 will be to reduce my acquisitions to known authors or to books that I intend to read immediately. My TBR "pile" has over 2,700 books. This has to stop!

So I tried this last year and was not successful. I'm hoping some "accountability" will work. Last year (end of 2020) I had 771 books by new authors. I did read a few but I obviously bought more. Hopefully I will do better this year.

Diane, I might suggest making a separate list of your book covers, you run out of posting characters if you have a lot of a-z categories & book covers. With only one list you should be ok, but who knows you might be better at it this compared to last. We can only hope.
I will delete this post, (if I can), to allow your book covers to follow your list if you would like. If not, it will leave it as a reminder for others who might like to post. :-)

Thanks for the info, I really hadn't thought of that. Since I am linking the books in the list, I just deleted the bookcovers. Not that big of a deal. I am just doing this hoping that peer pressure will make me follow through. I'm actually going to need to read a lot more than 26 "new author" books to make a dent in my list.

How are the challenges going? I don't participate but I love the seeing the books everyone else is reading.

I'm enjoying it! My authors list is the one I'm doing the worst on, but I don't choose books for the challenge—I just hope that what I'm reading will fill at least one slot!

But that's why I like doing the book covers, because I can always fill that in. But when I look at my book covers this year, I can see I did a lot of rereading!

I haven't done anything with my challenge in a long time. i just don't have the time needed to do a good job. Oh well, better luck next year. I wish that my audible books would automatically register on my Goodreads list. I would have an easier time of it if they did.

I'm not owning up to how big mine is.

My to be read list is enormous. Sometimes I have to stop myself from going on Goodreads or Facebook to see what my reader groups are reading, because next thing I know I've added so many books and didn't even read anything that night, and then it's time to go to sleep.

I think I buy 3 books for every one I read. So I never make a dent on my tbr pile.

I have all these authors I follow. :(
