Good luck with this challenge! I did this in 2020 and almost finished but then wrapped it up in 2021. I also completed the 1820-1889 decades -- those were the toughest for me. Let me know if there are any years where you need suggestions. I read a ton of great books -- but some were a little difficult. For 1930-39, I recommend Agatha Christie, And Then There Were None. For 1970-79, I recommend 84, Charing Cross Road. Both super quick reads as well!

message 21: by Eileen (new)

Eileen | 1854 comments I just read And Then There Were None in October and I loved it just as much as I did all the other times I read it! That is definitely a favorite. I will likely add other Agatha Christie this year, so thanks for the rec. I am planning on adding in the 1820-1889 decades, so any suggestions for those decades would be welcome. I am planning on digging into classics in the next couple of months, but I haven't checked to see what decade they fall in. I was thinking of another Hardy (maybe one of his earlier works) and throwing in a Dickens. We'll see what tweaks my fancy!

Eileen | 1854 comments For the month of June we will be hosting the YA LGBTQ+ readathon during Pride Month. This challenge will run from the 1st of June to the 30th of June. The aim is to read as many books as you possibly can and you get bonus points if you complete the prompts listed below. There will be no teams nor prompt categories so the readathon will look a little different to the ones we've previously hosted.

The prompts are worth 2 points each and are only valid if they are YA and LGBTQ+ books. If you enter your book without a prompt then you can't get the bonus points for it (all other points will be counted though). This will also be the case if you enter the same prompt more than once.
