ladymurmur | 934 comments I just finished listening to The Custard Protocol series by Gail Carriger. I'd read the first book and a half some time back, but became distracted by other things. A delightful start to my reading for the new year!

Sandra | 25908 comments Read the first 2 Witch & Wolf books by R.J. Blain. Wonderfully complex & intriguing. Looking at starting the next one soon, but pesky library books might have to be read first :D
Inquisitor by R.J. Blain Winter Wolf (Witch & Wolf, #1) by R.J. Blain

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments I need to get back to the Blain book(s) I have. I grabbed some after your rec.

I'm in the midst of The 36-Hour Day A Family Guide to Caring for People Who Have Alzheimer Disease and Other Dementias by Nancy L. Mace and listening to Alex finale Risen (Alex Verus #12) by Benedict Jacka with hubby. Probably starting Rogue Alpha (Jacky Leon, #7) by K.N. Banet next

Sandra | 25908 comments I think I'll try some K.N. Banet for the next round of Bingo. Hopefully the shelves match, just like last round :D

Looking forward to reading that one! Unsurprisingly, there is a long wait list at the library. :-)

I'll have to check my library for that one.

For the first time in several years, I had a hard time getting into my holiday stories. I stuck with those books I knew I'd like to keep me escaping reading.

One CR holiday series I really have enjoyed the last couple years, this year as well, was Vivian Arend's Holidays in Heart Falls. If anyone likes Christmas, western CRs, I recommend it. I've yet to start her main Heart Falls, but plan to ... eventually.

Hope you don't have to wait too long. TJ is an auto buy (one of very few) for me so it was just a case of waiting until I was in the right mood for it.

Wow, I read quite a few of her years ago, back when she published with Samhain Publishing!

I'm not a big seasonal reader in general but I have made an effort the last couple of years to read holiday romances in Dec and Jan.

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments Both The House in the Cerulean Sea and Under the Whispering Door were hold only at my local library, but both available at my USMC library, so I'll try to check those out soon.

:) You might enjoy these then. I started with her Holiday books and didn't feel like I was missing anything.

Angelique Holmberg (medusaswedeangel) | 14 comments I just finished re-reading Angela Roquet - Lana Harvey, Reapers Inc series. (A new book came out after a gazillion years so I wanted to refresh. Come to find out there was no need for it. Angela Roquet started the new book with a superb summary.)

Now I'm re-reading Kory Shrum - Dying for a living series. The final book came out after a bazillion years (note the difference from gazillion), refresher needed, again. Watch there will be a summary in this book too. It's very likely since both Angela Roquet and Kory Shrum are part of the group "The Four Horsemen of the Bookapocalyps". I haven't read the other two authors but I can very strongly recommend these two and I don't see them on many lists, so try them… You won't be disappointed, I promise.

If you have Kindle Unlimited they are available there.

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments Thanks for the rec, Angelique. I've grabbed a couple Roquet books as Amazon freebies, too. That one + Blood Vice (Blood Vice, #1) by Angela Roquet . I'll have to check them out.

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments Hey ladies! Anyone interested in a 2023 currently reading thread? Happy to, if there's interest, but seeing this year's fizzled fairly quickly.
